Tim's POV:
I look over at Faith then back at Dr. Carson.
"Ok. How long is the surgery?" I ask real quick.
"About 2 hours."
"Ok." Both Faith and I say.
"Ok. We'll be back." Dr. Carson says rolling Maggie out.
Two Hours Later:
Faith and I sit on the couch waiting for Maggie to get out of surgery. She should be out soon. We sit for another fifteen minutes before a group of nurses roll Maggie in.
"Dr. Carson will be in a minute to go over the surgery." One of them says before walking out. Faith and I walk over to her bed and sit down before I grab her hand. Dr. Carson walks in a second later.
"Surgery went good. She's probably going to be asleep for awhile longer. Her stomach should feel better now and I'm going to start her on a blood pressure medication to help the hypertension seize. The appendicitis was causing the fever, but she's going to be on pain killers for a couple of days." He states reading off her chart.
"Ok." I sigh as Faith grabs her other hand. I want this nightmare to be over with already. Dr. Carson walks out and I turn towards Maggie. I brush her hair out of her face before grabbing her hand again. We sit for about a hour before Maggie starts to wake up.
"Hey baby." Faith whispers rubbing her hand.
"Momma I want to go home." Maggie shows Faith before Faith turns to me about to lose it. I give Faith a look to take a walk and calm down before I turn back towards Maggie. Faith slowly gets up and walks outside.
"She's be back in a few baby." I whisper. Maggie writes something before showing me. "Why do I keep making you guys cry and leave??" Maggie has tears falling down her face.
"Baby you're perfectly fine. You're mom and I wish we could just take all of this pain away. It feels like our fault and we hate seeing you miserable." I whisper wiping away the tears. She looks so broken. Faith walks back in five minutes later. Maggie has fallen back asleep.
"She's already asleep again?" Faith asks surprised.
"Yeah. I'm guessing the pain meds are causing it." I sigh
