"Mom, Dad." I hear whispered. It's actually her.
"We're here Mags." Faith says crying.
"I miss you guys. I want to come home." Maggie cries.
"We know baby. We miss you too, but we want you safe. We're trying to get you home." I say as a few tears fall. She sounds broken.
"How are you feeling baby?" Faith asks sitting down on the couch. I sit down next to her.
"Horrible. It hurts to move." Maggie whispers. It's obvious that it is taking a lot out of her to talk.
"I'm sorry baby. I wish I was there." Faith cries.
"It's okay momma. Please don't cry." Maggie whispers coughing.
"I want my baby girl home. I hate you are having to deal with this." Faith says wiping away her tears.
"How has school been going?" I ask changing the subject. I want to cheer Maggie up.
"Ok. I have a lot of homework, but I have a group friends and I like my teachers." Maggie barely gets out.
"That's good baby. Anything else being going on?" I ask wiping away my own tears.
"Not really. I really only go to school and hangout around the house or in the downtown center when Tom goes." Maggie softly states. We talk to Maggie for close to two hours before it's obvious that she's too weak to talk anymore.
"We love you baby and get better. Just try to rest and stay positive. We'll get you home soon." Faith and I say in unison.
"I love y'all. Bye." Maggie gets out crying. I hang up the phone as Davis walks in.
"Thank you for that." I say as I hand him his phone.
"Don't need to thank me. We're trying to get her home. It's hard." He says walking out the door. I turn towards Faith and she's sobbing.
"Tim I can't do this anymore. I need my baby girl home."
"Faith I know. We're trying. It's killing me too, but we need to thank God she's safe." I whisper wrapping her in my arms. I wish I could just wrap my arms around Maggie right now and tell her everything would be okay. Faith and I sit like this for awhile before I realize I have to pick the kids up from the airport.
"Hon, I'll be back. I got to go pick up the kids." I whisper kissing her head.
"Ok." She whispers. I get into my car and drive to the airport. I get here about forty minutes later and wait outside.
"DAD!" I look over and Sam is running towards me.
"Hey bud. Did you have a good week?" I ask hugging him.
"Yep! I went surfing!" He smiles.
"Hey dad." Gracie says hugging me before getting into the car.
"Hi dad." Audrey says walking up. I wrap her in a hug.
"Hey Otis." I whisper.
"Hey boys." I say looking at Wesley and Hank.
"Hey dad." Hank says before walking up to the car. Wesley stands there looking down holding a pink T-shirt.
"Wes, what's wrong?" I ask.
"She should have been there to get this. She gets one every year and I had to get it for her this year because she's not here." He breaks down crying. I pull him into my arms and let him cry into my shoulder. He's completely sobbing. He misses her the most. They're twins.
"It's okay bud." I whisper.
"Let's go home and see mom." I say patting his back.
