third person pov - next day
On a usual Saturday morning, the boys scavenge around the kitchen for food, but today happens to be different. Zhengting had woken up the earliest out of the young men to prepare breakfast for everyone.
"Morning, Mom," Chengcheng jokes, snatching a piece of bacon off the counter and takes a bite of it.
"Hey! You need to wait," the older boy swats at him, succeeding in having him back away. "Go wake everyone up."
"Everyone is awake. They'll be down any moment except Kunkun and Yanjun. They're getting dressed as we speak. I'm not sure why they're dressing up so much since we only ever sit around the house," the boy shrugs still standing in his pajamas.
"Probably because they're smarter than the rest of you and realize there's a girl in the house now."
"But that's just Jiejie. She doesn't care whether we dress or not," Chengcheng shrugs yet again.
"You can say that and be the ones dressed down for breakfast."
Upstairs, Justin trudges out of his bedroom wearing his pajamas. Rubbing his eyes, he makes his way across the hall to his sisters bedroom. Opening the door, he peeks in and looks around only to find its empty. With that, he closes the door and pivots to his left and walks toward the door at the very end of the hallway. Grabbing the cold metal handle of the door, he turns it and pushes the door open.
"Scar," Justin mumbles looking around the room. In the left corner sat a small piano with sheet music sprawled on top of it. Sitting in beside the piano were five guitars. In the right corner sat a black drum set with a moon printed on the center drum. Just to the side of the drum set was a door that led into the bathroom that connected to her bedroom. The walls were lined with foam that kept any noise from seeping out.
"Justin," Scarlett says sitting up from the piano she had been sleeping behind the whole night.
"Why'd you sleep in here," Justin asks stepping into the room and closing the door behind him.
"I tried to go to sleep in my room, but I didn't feel comfortable I guess so I came in here and fell right asleep," she states rolling her shoulders back. "I think I'm going to move my bed into here, I'm sure it won't be too difficult."
"If you want," Justin shrugs. "Anyways, Zhengting made breakfast so you should come downstairs before he drags you downstairs."
"Still acts like a mom, huh," Scarlett asks and Justin quickly nods his head. "Alright, let me look decent and I'll be down."
Again, Justin nodded and exited her room while she got up from her spot and made her way into her bathroom.
After brushing her teeth and washing her face, she put her hair into two braids. She didn't care too much about how she looked, considering the fact she was in her own home and she didn't care to dress for anyone.
With that, she goes into her bedroom and glances at herself in the mirror. For a moment she just stares at herself, but shrugs and reaches back throwing her hood over her head before prancing out of her bedroom, closing the door behind her.
She skips down the hallway and quickly moves down the steps before sliding into the dining room where everyone sits. When they notice she's come they quickly sit up in their seats all except Justin and Chengcheng.
"Morning, Sc-"
"What are you wearing, Red," Yanjun asks looking to the girl who looks around the room seeing most of them dressed well.
"The name is Scarlett, pal and it's called a flying squirrel onesie. What the hell are you guys wearing? You guys going to church or something," she replies looking between the ones who are dressed well before skipping over to sit between Justin and Nongnong.
Zhengting, Xukun and Yanjun are all given looks as they begin eating breakfast.
"Thanks for the food, Jungjung. I would've gotten up to make it, but I didn't sleep too well," Scarlett smiles happily and the others see the tips of his ears turn pink and snicker.
"N-No problem," he stampers.
"You look cute, Jiejie," Xiao Gui comments glancing to Xukun who had wanted to say something to her.
"Aww. Thanks, Linkai," she replies happily eating her eggs. The group ate their food quietly first until Scarlett asked them questions and got them more comfortable. She didn't like that her presence seemed to bother them so much so she made sure to make sure they felt just at home as she did.
"So, has my brother brought any girls home," Scarlett asks glancing over to her brother who's eyes widened.
"Justin n-"
"Yeah, of course I've brought girls home," he cuts Ziyi off, sending him a look that made everyone's eyebrow raise.
"No you haven't. The only girl who comes over for you is your mom," Zhengting smirks on the other side of the table making the others laugh as well. He raises his cup as if it's tea, before bringing it to his lips.
"It's okay, Justin," Scarlett smiles to her younger brother, patting his head. "I don't mind being the only one bringing girls home."
Hearing this, the room goes silent and Zhengting spits out his water, nearly choking on the fluid.
"Wh-What," Linong stutters.
"My sister likes girls," Justin said looking at the others confused. "I thought I told you guys..."
"I CALL BULLSHIT," Ziyi stands to his feet like before as he points at Justin. The siblings both blink at him for a good couple of seconds.
"Your acting skills are horrible as ever," Scarlett laughs at her brother who failed to keep the boys in the house away from her. "However, Minghao is telling half of the truth. I like women and men, but I prefer women."
For a second they all blink at her, Chengcheng and Zhengting glance at one another not sure to believe it, but don't say anything.
"No wonder she didn't fall for Yanjun's flirting techniques all yesterday," Zhangjing mutters out loud earning a look from Yanjun.
"He's used to playing one player, but now there's two players in this game. His tactics are good, but he doesn't affect me," the female smirks as her eyes dangerously flash towards him who meets her gaze. They stay that way for a moment longer like a silent conversation between the two of them.
Yanjun watched her closely as the corner of his mouth lifts up. We'll see about that.
