third person pov - 30 minutes later

Somehow Scarlett's bags seemed to transfer to Yanjun who walked beside her in the mall. His hand filled with three bags total while hers were full of none. He didn't say anything though, but maybe he didn't notice.

"Where's that one store," Scarlett muttered looking around as the two of them walked. They'd been walking around with no break as she looked for this one store and Yanjun quietly watched in amusement as he followed her.

"What store are you looking for," he asked seeing that she hadn't asked him the whole time they've been walking.

"You know," Scarlett stopped in her tracks to take a good look at their surroundings. Her eyes flickered to Yanjun who stopped right beside her and looked at her waiting for her real response. "You know. That one store," she said as if he would understand her.

"There's like how many stores in here, Crimson. What's the name of the store?"

"I don't know. It's that one store though. The one with the colorful sign and the- Oh! It's right there," she pointed as her eyes lit up. Yanjun's head snapped in the direction she pointed to and as he saw it himself, she instinctively grabbed his wrist and pulled him along.

Yanjun's eyebrows raised at the contact and he was dumbfounded as she pulled him along with her. Her small hand barely wrapping around his large wrist. It was kind of like a little kid pulling him towards the playground.

When they got into the store, Scarlett immediately let go to look around.

"Why did you want to come in here," he asked looking around the dark store with dim lights. He waited for an answer, but when he looked where she was, she was no longer there. "Crimson," he called moving between two racks and down a small isle.

"Over here," she said and he followed where her voice came from. She stood at the back wall near the cash register. "Here we go," she muttered to herself snatching something from the shelf in front of her.

"Kinky," Yanjun said out loud as he grabbed something from the shelf diagonal from her. She turned to see what he had grabbed and laughed when she realized what it was. "What? You into this type of stuff, Crimson?"

Not really expecting a reply, Yanjun almost places it back, but Scarlett grabbed his wrist making him look to her. She stood right beside him, their bodies almost touching.

"I can be if you want me to be," she said in a low voice as she stared into his eyes in a hypnotizing way.

In the dark, Yanjun's ears and neck turned red making its way to his face. Suddenly, he couldn't speak, at least until she let go of him, still holding the faux leather whip in his hand.

"Got you," she laughed turning away from him to pay for her item.

After a moment, the boy dropped the whip and cleared his throat. He turned away and made his way to the counter where Scarlett was talking to the cashier.

"Pepper spray," he muttered reading the small container before the male cashier put it in a bag.

"Thanks," Scar smiled taking the bag and then walked over to Yanjun.

"Why'd you get this," he asked taking the bag from her and adding it to the rest of hers.

"My parents like me having one on me," she answered and he nodded before the two of them exited the store. "Aren't there any stores you want to go to? We've been here for how long and you haven't gotten anything or asked to go anywhere."

"I can't really go into that store right now," he answered with a shrug of his shoulders. When Scar raises an eyebrow, he quickly answered. "My crazy ex happens to work there and I already have to deal with her at school so I rather wait till she's off to go. I'll probably come back Tuesday since I don't have classes and she has classes."

"How do you know she has classes Tuesday?"

"She sent me her schedule in hopes of have classes with me," he answered as the two of them made their way to the food court to meet with Zhangjing. "Luckily, I have only one this semester."

"What class is that," Scar asked actually curious. Yanjun and her didn't share each other's schedules like she, Xukun, and Ziyi did. She hadn't asked the others because they were always busy mothering, eating, sleeping, or playing video games.

"Psychology 204 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday."

"Really? Who's your professor?"

"Han Zhiyu."

"Is it at ten," Scarlett asked.

"Yeah...Crimson, are you stalking me," Yanjun smirked stopping and turning to see her face.

"We have the same class," she shook her head as a smile pulled onto her face.

"Sure," he nodded in a teasing way while looking down at her.

"I don't have the time to stalking you. Keep dreaming, pretty boy."
