Ring. Ring. Ring.

"Turn it off," Scarlett muttered turning herself from the sound and found that she suddenly felt cold. She turned again to get back to the warmth, but it was now gone and the bed dipped beside her.

She heard something slide then a couple taps before a voice rung through her ears, "Hello?"

Scarlett shot up from the bed and looked around frantically. Her eyes landed on a figure who was standing beside her bed and lucky for her, he was wearing pants because if not she would've killed him.

"Yes, sir. We'll be there at ten," Yanjun said with a raspy voice that for a minute, made Scarlett want to pull him into her bed and let him sleep there with her. She thought it was so cute, at least, until she remembered he did sleep in her bed with her without her even knowing until now.

"What the hell are you doing in here," Scarlett yelled as soon as he hung up the phone. He jumped, almost dropping the phone in the process, but was able to catch it before it was too late.

"Geez," he muttered, placing his hand over his heart as he placed the phone down on the nightstand. "Crimson, calm down. We didn't do anything, I just stayed in here because-"

"I'm sorry," Scarlett cut in looking away from Yanjun with shame. She threw her legs over the side of the bed and nudged Yanjun towards the bed. "You should get some sleep. I must've kept you up all night with my-"

"Crimson, stop," Yanjun said seeing how much she was freaking out and rambling about the situation. "You didn't keep me up last night."

"I...I didn't?"

"No. Why? Do you always have nightmares," he frowned, leaning against her bed while her tiny wrists were still in his hands, stopping her from leaving. When she didn't answer and didn't meet his eyes, he got his answer and thought about it. "Is that why you didn't take your pills?"

She nodded. She didn't want Yanjun to know about it. That's why ever since she came back to China she slept in the room with soundproof foam so that no one would hear her.

"Well, you seemed fine when I was sleeping in here with you. Maybe you'll sleep better if you're not sleeping alone?"

"Are you trying to sleep with me again," she narrowed her eyes at him and he let out a dry laugh.

"No...maybe. Just kidding. I mean Justin and no one else," he said seriously. "Did you sleep well though?"

"Guess...I just remember being in a dark room," she shrugged her dainty shoulders. "Are you sure I didn't keep you up?"

"Nope. You didn't keep me up," he reassured her then looked her face over. Her eyes flickered up at him and he noticed how the color in her face was returning. "You look healthier already," he smiled showing his dimples.

"Thanks...I guess." She blinked at him.

"We have a couple hours and I think you should sleep a little longer, okay? It'll be good to catch up with your sleeping schedule," he told her pulling her onto the bed as he got in. She crawled into the bed after him and he released her wrist, rolling onto the other side of the queen sized bed. Scarlett watched as he got comfortable beside her, keeping some space between the two of them.

She followed and slipped under the covers of the bed, her head hit the pillow and her dark hair sprawled around the white marshmallow.

"Sweet dreams, Crimson."

"This is important because any marketing effort we put in now will help to boost demand for our products in the long run," one of the presenters in the business meeting stated. From what Scarlett knew, he was a new worker for the company, hired a couple months ago. His voice wasn't as shaky as many of the others, but it also wasn't exactly stable.

"And how sure are you that this will work," Scarlett spoke up looking into the workers eyes, his name was Keegan Summers. "From what you've presented so far, this is based on a hunch. I don't see any statistics on the possible grow so it doesn't have back bone to it. There's no source of reassurance, unless you still have more to present to us."

"O-Of course, Ms. Huang. We actually have some resources for you all," Mr. Summers' partner, Mr. Montoya said and began handing out papers to everyone. Yanjun silently handed the paper over to Scarlett, their hands brushed for a moment. His touch made a shiver run up her spine and it physically showed, but she tried covering it by clearing her throat.

"You getting sick, Crimson," Yanjun whispered with a slight smirk. She ignored it and looked at the paper, but felt his leg press against her own. She shifted in her spot and focused back on the paper, but it only lasted moments. Yanjun moves close to her again and their knees were touching, making Scarlett jerk forward in her seat.

"Oops," Yanjun said innocently, but Scarlett could see the amusement in his eyes. "Sorry about that, Crimson."

Instead of saying something, Scarlett gave him a serious look then went back to her paper. Her eyes scanned the parchment, calculating the numbers and silently deciding whether or not to approve since her father had been asking her the past couple of days about her stance on the projects presented.

"What's your stance, Xiulan," Mr. Huang asked her after quickly speaking to Mr. Qui about it. "Do you think it will be worth it?"

There was a lot of reasons Scarlett actually did like this idea, but she also knew that there wasn't enough backing to it. To put so much faith into it could be too risky, but considering the fact that it was a good idea, it may just be worth it.

"I think we should go through with it. I say give it a couple months, at least six and see how it progresses each time. I don't think it'll hurt us too much with 9IP already being successful and our last product is still selling," Scarlett replied placing the paper down.

"Very well," her father nodded, satisfied with his daughter. "See to it there's another meeting for this project. That's all for today then."

"What do you think you were doing," Scarlett asked, shoving Yanjun as the two of them waited just outside of the conference room for her father. Her father wanted to talk to the presenters more about their project so he sent Scarlett and Yanjun out.

"C'mon, Crimson. I been sleeping in the same bed as you the past three nights. I thought you'd be used to my touch," Yanjun grinned moving towards her. She shook her head and shoved him back, crossing her arms over her chest afterwards.

"Ha ha. Very funny, Yanjun." Scarlett said sarcastically as she leaned back against the wall. "You better not touch me when I'm sleeping. I'll cut off your-"

"Then how will we ever have kids?"

"You're so idiotic."
