third person povScarlett was the first person home since she left right after her and Yanjun's performance. She went straight to her room and decided to take a bath since it was one of the best ways for her to relax. Scarlett quietly listened to music as she sat in the hot water and tried not to think about Yanjun.
Scarlett closed her eyes for a moment, but the moment was ruined when her phone began to ring, stopping her music. She sighed and sat up before wiping her hands on a nearby towel then picked up her phone that sat on a small table beside the tub.
"Hello," she said holding the phone to her ear. She heard a shuffle on the other side of the phone before hearing a familiar voice and some other voices in the background.
"H-hey, Scarlett. It's Feimei...I have some bad news," the girl said on the other side of the line.
"What's wrong? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, but I broke my leg and well...I can't perform the song. I'm sorry. I know you worked so hard on-"
"It's okay," Scarlett cut her off, happy she wasn't too injured. "You worked hard on your performance as well and I'm sure that Mrs. Chu will understand as well. Just rest well, okay?"
"Okay...thank you again, Scar."
"No problem. I'll see you soon."
"Yeah, okay."
"Okay. Bye."
"Bye."
Scarlett sighed in relief, she was about to place her phone back on the table, but the phone rang once again. She looked at the caller ID and held back a groan as she held it to her ear.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Ms. Huang? Can you hear me?"
"Yes, Yihui. I can hear you and would you please not call me Ms. Huang. It makes me cringe," Scarlett let out a dry, awkward laugh.
"Yes, of course, Xiulan."
"Anyways, what can I do for you," Scarlett nodded although he couldn't see her. She messed with some of the bubbles in the bath and caught a flower petal between her index finger and middle finger.
"Your father wants you to fly back to Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. You'll be staying out there for a couple days to attend an event that he's unable to make," Mr. Qiu stated.
"And what is this event exactly," she asked even though she wanted to say no. Sunday was the last day of the festival, she didn't mind not performing, but she wanted to support the boys during their performance.
"Daniel Carriera has passed the business down to Andrew Carreria and you and your father have been invited to Andrew's congratulations party. This is important to the company since the Carrieras have been long time partners with us so you must attend," Mr. Qiu informed.
"Alright. What time is my flight?"
"Five."
"Perfect. Will someone be accompanying me," Scarlett asked, not wanting any distractions like last time. Especially not right now with what's going on.
"Bu Fan and Qin Fen will be going as your bodyguards, but that's all. They'll be picking you up to go to the airport."
"Okay. Can they pick my bags up at the house then me up from the college?"
"I can arrange that. Is there anything else?"
"No, that will be all. Thank you, Yihui."
"No problem, Ms. Huang. Goodbye."
"Bye," Scarlett said then hung up. Scarlett stared at her phone for a moment before letting out a small groan. She didn't feel like bathing anymore.
"Why does everything fall apart at once?"

"I have never been so irritated in my life," Xukun claimed as he and Ziyi came into the house while the other two that came home were still outside.
"Stop talking about it or else President Linkai will go off about the whole thing," Ziyi nudged him. "Plus, I don't want Jun-ge or Scarlett to get all weird."
"They're already weird," Linkai sighed, coming into the house with Nongnong behind him with the mail in his hands.
"Scarlett, we're home," Nongnong called. The group heard a thud come from the living room and quickly made their way over to see the girl laying on the floor with her arm covering her face.
"What are you doing," Linkai asked and saw that Xukun and Ziyi both had turned red while the Nongnong was avoiding her body. She was wearing a sports bra with a white button up shirt, a pair of shorts, and some fuzzy socks. It was something she wore to bed and the shirt also didn't belong to her. It was Yanjun's.
"Give me a second," she said and rolled onto her stomach. Her hair covered her face and the shirt she was wearing, rode up to the middle of her back, revealing some skin.
"It's been five minutes...how long are you going to stay there," Xukun asked, fixing her shirt for her. He noticed a scar peeking out from her shorts, but didn't say anything about it.
"Yeah, Jiejie. You got mail," Nongnong said crouching in front of her. He slipped the envelope under her arm and she groaned taking it and sitting up.
"How was the festival," Scarlett asked, looking at the white envelope before opening it. It was a thin letter so it was most likely trash since most of her mail was.
"It was pretty boring. Yanjun was being moody."
"Hmm," she hummed and pulled out a thin folded piece of paper. Her eyebrows furrowed, but she glanced up at the boys to make sure they weren't watching her. Most of them were on their phones so she opened the folded parchment.
I would think you'd know by now, that I don't give up easily.
