Yanjun's eyes didn't move from Scarlett as he pushed off the wall. The corner of his lips slightly tipped, he wasn't even trying to hold back his smirk.

"Sorry about that," he sighed, eyes flickering to the door and when they landed on a female worker he froze. "Yunyu?"

Yunyu stood beside her co-worker who had pulled the curtain back, revealing the two who looked like lovers. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she stared daggers into Scarlett.

"Who the hell is that, Yanjun," Yunyu motioned towards Scarlett who was still pressed against the wall.

"That's Crimson. My...housemate and she's also in our Psychology class. I sit right next to her," Yanjun replied as the silent girl blinked and looked up, coming out of her thoughts.

"H-Housemate," Yunyu stuttered.

"Yeah, just down the hall," Scarlett nods. Yunyu looked at Yanjun for confirmation only to see him smiling at Scarlett and rage filled the girl.

Yunyu crossed her arms over her chest, her eyebrows twitched with annoyance. "What kind of girl lives in a house with nine guys? You must be their whore."

Yanjun choked hearing the sudden anger in his ex-girlfriends voice. His eyes widened in shock, his head snapping to Yunyu then he quickly looked to Scarlett who looked unbothered.

"Technically, they live with me. I own that house," Scarlett shrugged. "You should really watch what you say, jealousy doesn't look nice on you, but neither does that shirt."

Yunyu opened her small mouth then closed it unable to figure out what to say. "I-you. You bi-"

"I'll be waiting outside," Scarlett announced exiting the fitting room without looking at anyone.

Scarlett hadn't talked to Yanjun after he got out of the store, when they were driving, or when they got home. He tried to make conversation, but she would give short answers so he decided to let her have some space.

He assumed that she was shaken over their near kiss experience.

The following morning, Scarlett left early with Zhengting to drop off the kids instead of driving to school with him.

Maybe she's angry with me cause of what Yunyu said and I didn't back her up, Yanjun thought to himself. She handled it so well on her own though...

"What's with you, Yanjun-ge," Ziyi asked taking a seat in front of Yanjun who was eating his breakfast, staring off into space. The other guys in the room didn't say anything, but were listening.

"Scarlett's acting weird," Yanjun answered in a low tone. "I think she's mad at me."

"Why? What happened," Linkai sat beside him wanting in on the conversation.

"I-"

"Scarlett walked into him in the fitting room while he was shirtless and he made a move on her. Then Yunyu and her co-worker saw him nearly kiss her," Zhangjing announced with his arms full of snacks as he went to the end of the table where his backpack was. He began shoving the snacks into the bag while everyone in the room stared at Yanjun.

"Yeah and Yunyu got mad and was giving attitude to her, but she seemed fine about," Yanjun nodded shrugging his shoulders and sitting back in his chair.

Nobody said anything for a while until Ziyi spoke up. "Maybe she likes you or something."

"She said she prefers girls."

"That doesn't mean anything," Xukun said entering the kitchen with his bag over his shoulder and everyone turned their attention to him. "She also said she likes guys too so you can't immediately rule that out, but she also did tell me she doesn't like you like that. But who knows? Maybe she'll come around."

Yanjun entered the class after his English class that was held for two whole hours. He was a little tired, but excited to see Scarlett since he hadn't seen her in the morning. When he came in, he was expecting her to already be in her seat, which she was, but she was caught in a conversation with the person sitting on the other side of her.

Yanjun stood, watching as Scarlett pushed a strand of hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. Her brown eyes staring at Ruibin who had her other wrist in his hand, softly running his thumb against the sensitive skin. The palm of her hand was facing up and he was running his fingers down the lines.

Irritated, Yanjun walked toward his desk and dropped his bag loudly on the top of it catching the attention of some of his classmates, but not the one he wanted.

"Crimson."

Ruibin's eyes flickered up to Yanjun from their conversation and Scarlett followed, first looking over her shoulder at Yanjun then removing herself from Ruibin to turn to the older male. Her legs were turned to him and her arm was resting on the back of her seat.

"Hey, Yanjun," she smiled like nothing was wrong and ignored the obvious irritation he had.

"Let's talk outside."

"Actually, class is about to start so I-"

"C'mon," Yanjun said grabbing her hand and pulling her along with him. He pushed the door open and led her outside and down the small corridor. He stopped near a pillar as a girl from their class passed by in a rush. "What are you doing," he asked turning to her as he dropped her wrist.

"What do you mean?"

"Crimson, why are you acting like that? You never flirt with Ruibin. Not even when I saw you two dancing the other day, but when I walked in there you were batting your lashes at him. What's with you," Yanjun asked as he ran a hand through his silvery hair.

"Are you jealous, Yanjun," she replied with a slight grin on her lips. She pressed a finger on his chest, catching him off guard. Her brown eyes looked up at him and as her finger pressed him she stepped towards him and he stepped back until he hit the pillar with his back. "If you're jealous, you should just admit it."

Yanjun looked at the girl and he didn't recognize her. Sure, she flirted with him before like this, but he thought they were passed it. He felt like instead of becoming closer he took five steps back.

"Crimson, stop," Yanjun said grabbing the hand that pressed him. "What's wrong with you?"

Scarlett's eyes flickered to the hand that wrapped around her own. She stared at it for a second before yanking it away. "We're playing a game, remember? Don't get it mixed up, Yanjun. I'll just break your heart like I do with everyone else."
