"Why'd you leave" Luke asked, sitting next to me on my bed. Now that I think about it, why did I leave? So what if he was kissing Shawna? It was a dare and we were just bestfriends. And for some reason, I have to keep reminding myself that we are nothing more.
"I dunno" I said shrugging.
"Andrea, I've known you forever. I can tell when you're lying." He said, shifting his gaze toward me.
Should I tell Luke that the reason I left was because I was jelous? No. There's no way I can tell him that. Im still confused on how I'm feeling about all this.
"Luke, I promise. I was just starting to feel sick." I lied.
Luke gave me a skeptical look before he said "Well, you did drink like half a beer so I can understand.."
I playfully hit his arm while laughing.
"Shut up." I said falling on my back and looking up at the ceiling.
The next morning was horrible.
Thank God today was Sunday. I had one of the biggest hangovers and my head was pounding against my skull. I looked over at my clock and saw that it was 1 in the afternoon. Ugh, I better get out of bed before my mom really starts suspecting that something is wrong.
I pulled myself out of my warm covers and took a quick shower and brushed my teeth. I put on my light wash skinny jeans and flannel and brushed my long blonde hair and curled it. I put on some masacara and foundation and walked back over to my bed.
I grabbed my phone and saw that I have 3 new messages. And of course, they were all from Luke asking what I was doing today and if I wanted to come to his band practice. I texted him saying yes and said that I would be over in 5.
Luke is in a band with Ashton, Calum, and Michael. They're called 5 Seconds of Summer and they are really good and I'm not just saying that because Luke is one of my bestfriends, they are all super talented.
As I told my mom that I would be home later and started walking toward his house, events from last night keep replaying in my mind. I just can't get that damn kiss out of mind. I've always had the slightest crush on Luke, I mean it's pretty obvious that he's really attractive.. but I've never felt anything more than that.
As I was walking up the driveway, I was greeted by Michael and Calum as they grabbed their instruments from their car.
"Hey Andrea!" Michael said waving at me. Micheals hair was currently light green but it changed every week.
"Hey!" Calum said right after Michael.
"Hey guys!" I said walking over to them.
"You here to watch us practice?" Calum asked, leading us toward the front door of Lukes house.
"Actually I came to mow the yard." I said sarcastically.
Michael busted out laughing while Calum just smiled at me.
''Ha ha very funny" he said opening the door.
"I like to think I am." I said following Calum inside.
We walked up the stairs and into Lukes room where Ashton had his drums already set up and Luke was fixing his microphone stand.
The moment I saw him my palms begin to sweat and I was starting to get nervous. His blonde hair was nicely pushed up and he was wearing his usual attire of black skinny jeans and a ripped band shirt. Andrea, stop. He's your best friend. There's nothing to be nervous about.
I walked over and took a seat on the bed while they got everything set up.
"Everything okay?'' I heard a voice say.
I jumped and turned to see Calum sitting next to me.
"Oh my God, you scared me!" I said, placing my hand over my heart.
''Sorry" He said chuckling.
"And to answer your question, I'm fine. why?" I asked, shifting my body toward him.
"You seemed a little bit..erm... distracted" He said.
Oh God. Was I staring at Luke or something? I had to play it cool.
"What're you talking about?" I asked, playing dumb.
"You were staring at Luke for like 5 mintues straight.." He said laughing.
I mentally smacked myself in the face. How could I be so stupid and obvious?
"I wasn- I mea- I wasn't looking at him" I said, messing with my hands and shifting uncomfortably.
Calum laughed and leaned in and whispered in my ear.
"Listen, I know you like him."
"What? No I don't!" I said, staring at him in shock.
"Yes you do! It's pretty obvious. I mean, you were staring at him like he was God or something." he said laughing at his own joke.
"I do not like him. He's just my best friend." I said crossing my arms over my chest.
"Okay, whatever you say" He said putting his hands up defensively.
He got up and walked to his usally spot on the right side of Luke.
Calum looked from me to Luke and winked causing me to giggle.
Luke looked up and saw what who i was giggling at and looked a little.. jealous? There's no way that could be it.
"Okay guys, lets practice Gotta Get Out" He said looking at all 3 boys who nodded their head in agreement.
It's been about a week since I went to their band practice and Calum accused me of liking Luke. I was currently in the living watching some weird movie I've never seen before on Netflix. My parents were on a buissness trip so I had the house to myself tonight. Not like that was a bad thing, I liked being alone sometimes.
Just as the main character in the movie was about to be killed, I heard a knock on the door.
I paused the movie and pushed my blanket off me and walked toward the door.
I opened it and there was Luke standing there, smiling at me.
"Hey what're you doing here?" I asked as he walked in, shutting the door behind him.
"What? Your best friend can't come over just to hangout?" He asked while sitting down on the sofa.
"Well, yeah but it's like 12 in the morning.." I said sitting down next to him and pulling the blanket back over me.
"Oh it is?" He said sarcastically while scooting closer to me.
I laughed and grabbed the remote and pressed play.
We sat in silence for a few minutes before Luke said something.
"Do you wanna know the real reason why I came here?"
I looked over at him and saw that he looked completely serious.
"Im afraid to ask.." I said, nervously looking at him.
"I came over here to do this."
Before I had time to respond, his lips were on mine and his hands were around my waist.
sorry it's kinda boring but I promise it'll get better!
