Closing her eyes nonchalantly, she took a deep breath. As he held her hand, she wondered to herself if this was the last time he would ever have to apologize to her.
For hurting her.
Inhale
Exhale
Just as Scarlett was about to say something, Michael beat her to the punch.
"What happened last night... was not a mistake for me. Was it for you?"
"No Michael! Of course not."
She said without missing a beat.
"Why would you think that?"
She squeezed his hands, begging him to turn toward her. Getting on her knees beside the bed she looked up at him, and gently brushed his hair out of his face.
"Michael. I don't really know where we will go from here, or what we will be to eachother but we both have dreams. We both have places we are needed and I get it. But for now, we are in Hawaii. Let's enjoy the time left here. You guys already did your show and you have another one in a few days before we have to leave. Let's just all hang out. Spend time together. As friends. If something happens in the future great! If not, that's ok too."
Michael nodded his head in agreement, shaking his head to move his hair out of his eyes as he looked up at her. Squeezing her hands, he smiled almost reluctantly then it spread into a larger grin. Almost a smirk.
"Oh no you don't Michael! I know that smile!"
She said as she tried to get up and away from him but before she knew it, he was up and had her in his arms flinging her to the bed, while he began to tickle her til tears were in her eyes.
"Please Michael! I'm begging you!"
Scarlett squealed, as she twisted under him and slipped out of his hold, falling hard on the floor. Hearing Michael's loud roar of laughter, he begins clapping his hands together as he falls back on the bed and she sits on the floor, laughing and rubbing her rear.
"Damn it Michael!"
She says as she stands up and runs over to his side of the bed.
"You're kissing that I hope you know!"
"Oh hell no!"
He yelled as they both continued laughing, and rolled into eachother again, wrestling, ending with her sitting on his chest and his hands were above his head, locked in her grip.
She leaned in to kiss him, slowly...
Just as he raised his head to meet her lips she licks his nose.
"Sucker!"
And she jumped off him and ran to the other side of the room as they continued to hang out and have fun.
"What on earth are they doing in there!"
Crystal said as she turned the volume on the TV up, so she could hear it.
"What they are doing, is getting along. And it's none of our business."
Liam turned from her back to the TV, just as she jumped up and ran to the door to listen.
"Screw that! I'm nosey and they both know it. I won't apologize so don't make me."
Liam grinned and proceeded to finish the movie they had started.
After a while, Crystal ran over to the couch, jumping completely over Liam, landing her on the other side of him.
"They are coming out. You saw nothing."
She whispered, with a deadly serious look on her face. And she was using her determined face. Her "somber" eyebrows were on.
As they finally walked out, smiling and bumping into eachother as they came out.
"Crystal was listening to you for the past half hour through the door."
Liam said. Putting popcorn in his mouth, as he calmly said without once taking his eyes off the TV.
Crystal's mouth dropped open, and she slapped his shoulder with the back of her hand.
Shaking her head to say no, she smiled and began to stutter.
"No I didn't Liam. Don't be a liar. Or a party pooper. Scar knows I'd never do that. She deserves her privacy."
She ended and with one solid nod with her head, she made it look as though she had said her peace.
"Oh shut up Crystal, you so totally would."
Scarlett smiled, and Crystal looked hurt for a moment, the grabbed a handful of popcorn and before shoving it in her mouth, she looked Scarlett in the eyes.
"You're right. I totally did. And I'm not sorry. You'd have told me later anyways. So... ya."
And she turned back to the TV. Mouth full of popcorn, she put her head on Liam's shoulder. He just rubbed her hair, as she nuzzled his neck. He had been being so great to her. And that made her so happy.
They all decided to sit down and watch the movie.
As friends.
