After the airport incident, we came home, and everything seemed like it was going to work out. Michal stayed behind so he could get a flight and pack his bags, and we couldn't miss our flight.

He choose her. Above all else. He choose her.

She was extatic with emotion. Barely able to contain herself.

Scarlett was able to talk to Ryan into pulling some strings, to get Michael into Juillard. Some very big strings. He had to get him a private audition, and since he dropped out of school and got his GED, he wasn't part of the school. Since Ryan could only choose two people from that school, he wouldn't get in. However, everyone knew that Michael would get in. His talent was immeasurable. People and colleges with music would pay him to be at their college, so they knew he would get in.

And he did.

They all packed and got ready for college, and drove in a convoy. Scarlett drove her car, Crystal drove hers, and Michael had a new car, so he drove it.

Her parents just had to go, to see her off, so they drove the moving truck, which had everyone's stuff in it. To make their cars lighter and make it easier for the kids to drive there.

They all had a few classes together, but only Michael and Scarlett had the most classes together. Since they each were there for music. She went for her voice, and him for voice, and instruments. He had the most classes cause he wanted classes for all of his instruments. Since he could play anything.

Michael and Scarlett became serious after about a year, and they spent their holidays together, since he didn't have family that he talked to, other than one of his sisters.

Marilyn.

(She was a big Marilyn Monroe fan btw.)

After their third year together, they spent a Christmas at her parents house, and Michael wanted to take her out for a drive.

They went back to the mountain that had the beautiful view.

It was Christmas Eve, and it was the Anniversary of the day he gave her that promise ring. He told her, they could see all the Christmas lights of the town from there and that's what he wanted to see that night.

He wanted to see her brown eyes sparkle in the moon light. The gentle breeze was perfect, but the snow made it really hard to get there. They had to park about a 1/2 a mile down, and hope his rental truck didn't start sliding backwards down the snow covered mountain.

Once they were at the top, they both looked out over the town.

"This is truly breath taking, Michael. I've never once been up here at night. Or Christmas for that matter."

"Ya. The view really is... beautiful. Nothing like it in the world."

She had turned to him, to see that he was staring at her.

"Michael, you're supposed to be looking at the view."

She giggled, and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and he slid his around her waist.

"I like the view from here, just fine."

He kissed her chapped lips, from the cold. Every kiss was like the first time with her. The rush of adrenaline he got, the feeling like nothing could ever be better than this moment.

"Scar! Look!" He said as he pointed to the sky. "It's a shooting star!"

"Where!" She turned around and looked up, looking and not seeing it.
Then she turned back to him.

"I must have missed..."

When she turned back, he was down on one knee, with a ring box. Open, and held out to her.

"Oh my God."

"Scarlett Newton. I have loved you since the first time I ever saw you. You have always had my heart, and the way you make me feel, is un shakable. You were my very first kiss, and I want you to be my last. Will you marry me?"

He looked into her eyes from his bended knee, to see tears streaming from her eyes.

"Yes! Yes Michael! A thousand times yes!"

She wrapped her arms around his shoulders as he stood up. With smiles from ear to ear, and she kissed him all over his face as they both laughed.

He stepped back for only a second, as they both felt the warmth disappear, and he slid the ring onto her finger.

They kissed again, and just wrapped their arms around eachother.

"Can we go now? It's really cold up here."

She began rubbing her own shoulders, and as soon as he nodded his head, they began running to the car. Not stopping until they reached it.

The wedding, wasn't small, but it wasn't large either.

It was just the right size. They had invited everyone, except a select few. Like Ryan and Brian. For obvious reasons. Crystal was the Maid of Honor, and Liam was the best man. They had recently become serious and had just said their I love you's. Everything seemed perfect.

They eventually finished their last year of college, and instead of Scarlett going off to become some rich singer, she decided to teach music at Juilliard, as did Michael. The pay was amazing, and they still were able to have their dreams.

About 3 years after graduating, they welcomed their first child.

Angelica Renee O'Connor, and another year later they had Michael William O'Connor Junior.

They bought a a nice sized home, out in the country just north of New York City. Still able to work at the School, and eventually, Crystal and Liam bought a house out there as well. Liam was always on tour with the band, and Crystal was in extravagant countries shooting movies with big stars. Eventually, they had kids too, but not for a few more years.

They all stayed very close, and never forgot their past together, nor their trip to Hawaii.

And Michael never once, regretted his decision. Because in the end, he got to have his dream

Scarlett.
