Chapter Twenty Seven: Official

-Riley-

The next morning for the first time in months I had a dream without Cordelia in it.

It was an odd experience as she had become somewhat of a fixture in my dreams, so to not have her there was new. But I guess deep down I kinda knew once we had met each other we wouldn't need to see each other in our dreams anymore.

I pulled out my phone and pulled up our conversation from last night. I looked at the picture and smiled. I still couldn't believe this was the girl I had gotten to know in a dream...She was stunning, intelligent...and I already knew she's caring as well from previous conversations we've had. It was crazy because I wanted to tell everyone I could about this amazing girl in my life.

I wanted the day to get started so I could see her again already...of course she more than likely has plans with her friends so I wouldn't try and get in the way of those plans but I decided to text her anyways.

[Riley: I missed my dream girl last night...Good Morning Beautiful.]

I got up to get ready for the day and when I came back into the room I had a couple of texts back from her, I smiled and opened them.

[Cordelia: It was so strange not having you in my dream, Good morning, Handsome.]

[Cordelia: So my friends and I are going to brunch in thirty minutes...if you want to join us.]

[Cordelia: Please don't feel pressured into coming though.]

I felt bad because I was showering when she text back and I hoped she didn't think I was dodging her. I checked my bank account, I had plenty of money to spend but I hated to do so knowing it was my Dad's money and I knew he'd more than likely call me later to try and find out why I had used the card for something other than gas or groceries...but for Her I wouldn't mind.

I decided I'd need a job soon too, since there's no way I'd be taking a girl out using his money...he would carry that over me forever.

[Riley: I'm sorry I was in the shower when you text, send me the address of the place and I'll meet you there.]

It wasn't long after when I received the text.

I wasn't really a brunch sorta guy...to be honest I don't think I've actually gone to brunch before. So I didn't really know what the brunch dress code was?

I put on some dark jeans, a striped collared button up before pulling on a grey sweater as I knew it'd be cool out.

I grabbed my phone and wallet and went downstairs.

"Headed out?" Mom asked yawning.

"I am meeting up with some friends for brunch if that's okay?"

She nodded, "glad to hear you made some friends."

I smirked and Grandpa noticed. "That girl gonna be there?"

"Girl?" My mom asked.

I looked at her, "There is a girl I like, her name is Cordellia and there's a group of kids going...she is one of them." I admitted.

"Well...have fun out with them, and if you're gonna be out throughout the day try and remember that you do have a curfew of eleven."

I nodded, "I know mom." I grabbed my keys and jacket and finally took off.

When I reached a red light I text her really quick.

[Riley: On my way.]

she didn't bother texting, I followed the GPS and found the place easily, I was glad it wasn't too far away either
