Chapter Five: Confessions and Secrets
-Cordelia-

I was excited to see that going to sleep without the oils had worked.

__________

I watched the tall familiar frame glide toward me out of the fog.

He simply took the seat next to me, "so where did we leave off last time?" He asked rather cavalierly.

I smiled, "we were talking about families."

I could see him nod, "right...well my parents are both still alive but they're going through a pretty bitter divorce at the moment, other than that it's just me and my little sister...she's five."

"And how old are you?"

He chuckled and shook his head "your turn to tell me about your family first."

I couldn't keep the smile from my face. "Fine, my parents had my older brother young and then had me but they never married...now they're both married to other people so I've got a father and a step-mother, a mom and a step-dad, one older brother and one way older step-brother...now how old are you Riley?"

"I'm eighteen, and you?"

"I'll be eighteen in October." I admitted.

"That's only a couple months away."

I nodded, "yep, then I'm off to college."

"Where are you trying to go?"

I shrugged, even here in this perfect dream world I couldn't find it in me to voice my want to go to Princeton. "Wherever I guess, but I don't want to be too far away from home."

"And where's home?" He asked.

I began to panic a little and I actually noticed that I had begun to make it rain on us.

"Quick lets go under the tree." He said as he grabbed my hand and led us to the tree with the most leaves.

"So I'm guessing home is a touchy subject matter?"

I looked at his chest, "well it isn't wise to give out super personal details, it could be dangerous."

"I get it...lines between dream and reality get blurred." He sounded.

I nodded.

We moved on to lighter conversation and I found out he has one friend he's really close to, he hates his dad (but wouldn't elaborate).

The rain had stopped and the talking had come to an end.

"I guess it's that time then." He said with a heavy sigh.

I felt the same way, I was always expecting for each night to be the last encounter we'd have.

"I wonder what would happen if we didn't leave." He threw in.
