Chapter 22

They are here, the purple titan I saw in Loki's memories. The one that was after the infinity stones.

"Quick, we need to get some to the rescue boat!" I yelled. We don't have time for everyone to move. We got to save as much as possible.

"Valkyrie, Korg and Miek, you three go ahead first, we need people to guide the Asgardians," Thor suggested.

Our ship shook as the Titan lands on our ship, along with his team. Thor, Loki and I looked at them. Heimdall stood beside us too. Their presence along brings upon fear while Hela brought upon death.

It did not take them long for them to start killing the Asgardians. We tried to defend as much as possible and buying time for the rescue boat to leave. Thor was already badly damaged by the fight from Hela. I was slightly exhausted but I was not strong enough to stop him. They surround Loki with a woman pointing her weapon at him.

The mad titan comes towards Thor and I. He grabbed us by the neck, I gulped. All it takes is one tiny strength from him and I would be dead.

"Hear me and rejoice! You have had the privilege of being saved by the Great Titan. You may think this is suffering. No... it is salvation. The universal scales tip toward balance because of your sacrifice. Smile... for even in death, you have become children of Thanos." One ugly looking that somehow remind me of Squidward called.

Thanos demanded the Tesseract from Loki, apparently, he took it instead of leaving it in Asgard. Thanos squeezed Thor's head, making it insufferable.

"I wonder what will happen if I just gently choke her neck," Thanos laughed.

I stared at him, "You will regret," I replied. I refuse to give up, even if that was the most stupid thing I had ever done.

Loki immediately took out the tesseract, "I'll assure you both, the sun will shine upon us again," Loki assured us.

Thanos put us down as he went to retrieve it. I look at Loki.

"Your optimism is misplaced, Asgardian," Thanos said.

"Well, for one thing, I'm not Asgardian. And for another... we have a Hulk." Loki said as the Hulk appeared from behind and smash Thanos. Loki dropped the tesseract to prevent us from getting hit by the Hulk.

"Loki," I cried. He wiped my tears. "It's alright dear, you will be safe," He assured. I shook my head, "No, I want us to be safe!" I cried.

I know he is thinking of sacrificing himself to protect Thor and I. I took a glance at Hulk, Hulk was not strong enough as well, I'm not sure if it was because Thanos already had a stone or not. He seems really strong even without the stone. Hulk was ultimately defeated by Thanos. I look at Heimdall, he was badly injured, lying on the ground. I see him whispering something before a bright light, the Bifrost, send Hulk away.

"No..." Thor mumbled as he witnesses Heimdall getting stabbed to his death.

I was shaking, so much for some powerful sorcerer. I can only dominate on earth, can't I? I cannot think, is there any way we can get out alive? Good thing the rescue boat has successfully departed. At least half of the Asgardians managed to escape. Loki stood up, I look at him in fear.

"Loki no!" I grabbed his hands. Our hands are shivering.

Thanos grabbed the tesseract and crushed it into the space stone. Thor attempts to move in for a fight as well, but the Squidward stopped him and used metals to forcefully stuck him and covered his mouth. Loki put my hand down as he slowly walks towards Thanos.

"Oh, mighty Thanos, I, Loki, Prince of Asgard, Odinson, The Rightful King of Jotunheim, God of Mischief, do hereby pledge to you my undying fidelity." He said slowly, his knife slowly revealed in his hand as he walks closer to Thanos. He went for the neck but was easily stopped by Thanos.

"Undying? You should choose your words more wisely." Thanos said as he chokes Loki. I was crying.

"You will... never be... a god!" Loki mumbled.

"Loki no!" I yelled. A huge gush of dark energy was released from my body, causing Thanos and his children to fly off from a distance.

I ran towards Loki who slowly regains back his breathe, "Loki what are you? The god of knives?" I yelled and hugged him tightly.

Thanos quickly got back to his feet. "What an interesting set of power you have," He smiled.

"Leave us alone!" I demanded. At this point, I could not think of anything. I will go against that mad titan even if it cost my life.

Thanos smiled as he used his purple gem to destroy the whole ship. I was hugging Loki so I did not have enough time to run to Thor. We got separated from the explosion. The last thing I see was Thanos leaving using the space stone. I looked down, I saw Earth. Maybe, I could try. I closed my eyes and focusing on getting back to new york city.
