Lights were dim on his ebony desk as Hae Wong was reviewing some files in the evening, and a dull mood had spread all over his office.
Studying boring files while waiting for the appointed time with his target at the club...
Why had his father insisted on his working on those so-called "urgent" affairs?
Why, of all night, tonight especially?
What a waste!
Whereas he could have been with his angel, cuddling and sharing pleasant time...
He didn't really feel like doing all this PR with the commissioner in this "grind me - bump me" kind of a club...
Politics! It was all about manoeuvering, concealing, lying, manipulating, bribing ...
This was the part Hae Wong viscerally loathed about this function...
And why the hell did all these old men have such weird, perverted tastes for much younger boys?
Hae Wong found this disgusting when there was so wide an age difference, and above all the lack of honesty from their part...
He wished his father hadn't insisted on his meeting the financial services agent...
And all this while, his honey must have been standing sadly alone, thinking about him and - his phone screen suddenly lit up.
A message from his Jiminie? he hoped.
[Incoming call from : unreg. Number]
"Lee Hae Wong speaking" he said in a business-like tone.
Who could be calling at such a late hour? He wondered, foreseeing some business related issue.
"Hae Wong Hyung, it's Tae Hyung." he heard Jimin's friend say.
"Good evening, Tae Hyung-ssi," he greeted politely, a tinge of curiosity in his voice.
"I'm sorry for calling you so late at night. I hope I'm not interrupting something?"
"Don't worry, Tae-Hyung. Please, go ahead," Hae Wong replied, starting to wonder why Jimin's friend would the hell call him so late for so trivial questions. What was behind it?
"I know this may sound weird and none of my business, but have you and Jiminie been fighting?" Tae asked with what seemed some concern in his intonation.
"No, absolutely not! Why are you asking?" Hae Wong wondered what Jimin had been telling Tae Hyung.
"Is Jimin-ssi with you?"
Now stress was clearly audible in his words.
"No, not at all! He's home right now," he stated.
"I'm afraid he's not..." Tae contradicted.
"I beg your pardon??" Hae Wong was getting more and more confused, and even started now to get irked.
"Fuck... " the art student whispered.
" 'Fuck'?? Are you talking to me?? !!" Hae Wong's tone suddenly changed into a very tensed one as his irritation suddenly peaked.
"No, no, sorry! This was not for you!!" Now his voice was shaking with anxiety "... But, listen, this is bad...".
"Tae Hyung, what is this all about?? Tell me now!" the older commanded.
"Listen, Hae Wong-hyung, I just called Jimin on his phone and he's been telling me incoherent things. I couldn't hear everything because it was so noisy around him because of all the voices and the blaring sound. From what I could get, there was loud music and people shouting and laughing, like he was at some kind of a party. Most of all, he's been rambling nonsense about dancing in a club and drinking weird cocktails. You know he's not used to drinking alcohol, right?"
