^^'

Ah... I guess 4 am was really too late (too early?) for my brains and I messed up with the chapter number last time!

Sorry! It should be fixed now!

I'll be looking forward to your feedback on the chapter, as always!

Hope you are all having a peaceful life RN.

Sending love,

Take care,

He thought by then, they would have been able to meet more often.

He thought days and evenings on his own would grow scarce.

Honestly.

He did think things would have been better by now and gradually getting back to a more normal schedule.

But he should have known.

Yes, he should have known better.

Of course this was too early.

As Hae Wong was nearing his goal, pressure was bound to increase.

Jimin had been standing still in the lobby for quite a while now, staring at the dimly lit place.

Staring at emptiness.

Eyes down and in the distance, hands limp on each of his sides, shoulders slumping.

His bag had slid at his feet just after he had removed his shoes and turned around with a smile, lured by the small lamp that shed a feeble light in the room.

But as soon as he crinkled eyes had landed on the coffee table, the beam had vanished and faded to a downward curve, eyes relaxing to a sad stare.

There they were, in their perfect wooden box.

They were held in place by the immaculate wrapping, their flawless red triangles all set in the same direction.

In other circumstances, the expensive Sembikiya Queen strawberries would have seemed impressive and mouth-watering.

For now though, even before he had had any, they just had a bitter taste.

Jimin un-enthusiastically stepped forward, dropping his jacket to the floor somewhere on the way.

He stopped next to the boxed fruits and noticed a second box was actually stacked under the open first one.

Jimin nonchalantly pushed the top container off of the bottom one and, still standing straight, lifted the lid with the tip of his finger.

He looked at the contents with an expressionless face.

White strawberries.

The luxurious fruits had – in Tae's words - "probably cost a bum."

Actually, Jimin could not care less.

He stared at the perfectly-shaped fruits for a while.

He could feel their round, sugary, fragrant taste roll on his buds, but got no elation out of it.

The uniform-robed fruits were no more than just plain facts to him.

A sour smile reached his lips as he remembered the very first time he had to face this situation.
