"I told you before – Love is a trap. It's just an illusion, a delusion. Because even if you had love before, once you lose it, whether it's you or whether they are not in love, it doesn't heal you, and it doesn't feel good any more. It's a never-ending trap. Love always gets back at you one way or another..." he concluded amidst the mild chatting and the slight clatter of the high end cafe.

Although he may have sounded sympathetic and caring, Hae Wong was not fooled.

Not even for the blink of an eye.

But as he looked at yet another set of photos of Jimin in another man's arms, the blonde couldn't help but grant some part of truth to the old man's words.

He was very well aware of Jum Seung's goal.

As usual, he wanted to undermine his trust in his angel, or their relationship, in order to tear them apart.

True, now Hae Wong really felt like giving Jimin the cold shoulder.

Maybe it was even better that way.

But not for the reasons his father was trying to provide him with.

For the politician knew perfectly well who Kim Tae Hyung was, especially to Jimin.

And that was exactly why he was thinking about it really seriously as he carefully examined the pictures of Jimin leaning his head on Tae Hyung's shoulder, while the latter held him tight in his arms.

The politician couldn't help clenching his fists and his jaws as he witnessed the unbearably close contact of the hug.

Jealousy ate at his heart.

But guilt too.

He had seen the date on the photo and he could remember leaving Jimin on his own on their first night together after a long time.

Their date had started so well...

But shortly after meeting, duty had called.

Hae Wong even suspected Jum Seung of arranging for this.

Of course, Jimin would seek comfort in his best friend.

Which was what led Hae Wong to those twisted thoughts.

His phone vibrated.

He looked at the fifteenth message Jimin had sent him today.

Once again, he decided not to reply, notwithstanding the pleading or angry or sad tone of some of them.

Maybe it was good that his angel should hate him a little too.

Because then he might not suffer as much from his absence.

At least, with Kim Tae-Hyung, he'd have someone to get comforted by and to confide in when he wouldn't be around.

He'd have somebody to rely on while Hae wong would have to care about other people...

At least until he reached his goal...

(...)

Jimin looked at his bandaged wrists.

His eyes brimmed with tears.

He thought back on the previous days.

Thought back on Hae Wong's words that kept on echoing his agonizing mind.
