His voice was quite confident as the phone conversation neared its conclusion.
"Hmm ... I think it would be quite safe for me to assume you would like our donations, or those of our partners, to remain faithful to you wonderful theater and projects... I'm positive that you'll understand that such a gifted artist can't be kept to our own national prides, and needs to spread his magnificent wings to international fame... Which obviously he won't be able to reach if under some local obligations..."
There was a pause in his speech before he hummed satisfactorily.
"I knew you'd share my point of view... Of course... I'll have my personal secretary send the ... donation as soon as all this is settled for good."
He grunted his next approval and added in a barely disguised warning tone "Clearly, you're aware of how fragile and touchy some successful people are when it comes to notoriety issues... Should Mr. Park ever hear the slightest hint about this, then any financial arrangement of any sort between our parts would be irreversibly dead... Thank you... My staff will contact you... Yes... Goodbye."
Hae Wong put his cell down next to him on the leather back seat of the Phantom.
Content stretched his lips into a serene smile as his eyes now scanned the most recent mails on his laptop screen.
"... reward on all his hard work and congratulation on his newly blooming glory, and will surprise him with an unannounced trip abroad, consequently making him unavailable to fulfill any professional engagement until further notice. The impending compensation should however be able to somehow make amends for the possible disappointment..."
A new received mail notification popped up in the lower corner of the screen.
His shrewd eyes skimmed through the formalities and straight to the main point.
"... deeply regretful that Mr. Park has already been hired on other positions for the next months. Yet we are truly grateful for the new donations your foundation just granted us and look forward to ..."
Hae Wong's pleased smile stretched wider.
He closed his computer and smugly looked out the window as the buildings passed by.
"Mine," his mind repeated to itself in a pleased reassurance.
