"Wang Mei Zhen..."

Jum Seung raised his eyebrows and tortured Hae Wong a little further as he witfully added

"How sweet of you! You already got interested in her! Now I can see why you've been improving in your Chinese so much... So I gather from it that I chose well for you... You'll soon see that she's the sweetest girl. And she will soon give you beautiful children..."

"Children? Are you out of you mind, old man?" the blonde thought to himself. But instead of rudely voicing it out, he contained himself and stuck to his facts.

"Father, you know I'm already involved with someone else," he frowned as he asserted it, and tried not to make it sound like a plead to the older.

"Involved?" the senior questioned. "As far as I could officially state, you are involved in nothing! That's why... ," he took hold of the second, fatter envelope. "... I took care of it and prepared everything you'd need to that purpose," he finished, as he laid the pile of bound sheets on the table, putting the reading end towards his son.

Official document cover.

Beautiful binding.

Not good.

Not good at all.

Hae Wong's mind started to go on a panic mode.

Lee Jum Seung sat down and leaned back in his comfortable armchair, waiting for his offspring to get acquainted with the document.

He joined the tips of his fingers and laid his shrewd eyes on his son's face as he patiently bided his time.

The blonde raised his hand and slowly moved it forward towards the red cardboard covered in golden inscriptions and symbols.

He left it to stay on the table, just lifting the corner of the hard top to flip the cover open.

His heart was thumping painfully faster in his chest, and his blood had run cold in his veins as he anticipated what his eyes would soon behold.

A beautiful calligraphy in high quality black ink spread gracefully all over the page.

His lungs tightened and his whole body, from the formerly charming features of his face, to the very end of his feet, tensed as some nauseating strain assaulted him.

Hae Wong looked at the harmonious Han characters that cruelly hurt his eyes and soul.

A wedding contract.

He flipped the hard cover back closed and tried with all his might to keep a straight face. Before he could get the chance to utter anything, the elder spoke out.

"If you go through the main clauses, Lee Jum Seung resumed, "you'll see that her father and I thought very carefully of everything. And I humbly believe that I did a great job in achieving a really fair contract."

"Fair to who?" Hae Wong snorted despisingly.

"Well, fair to the both of you and I obviously. Who else?" he shrugged.

Before his son could name anyone, he went on.

"As you'll conclude from the wedding plan that has been set, a lot had already been taken care of and you and your bride will just have to take care of trifles now..."

"Trifles?" the blonde raised his eyebrows.

"You know, rings, clothes, reception hall, caterer... all the meaningless things that girls are so fond of ..." he contemptuously commented.
