All the sounds were a bit muffled by the crimson damasked velvet that coated the wall elegantly, and by the classy black and burgundy furniture that was beautifully arranged in the private salon.

The dim lights that were softly beaming down and around the vintage, stylish wall-lamps contributed to creating a comfy atmosphere.

Everything was designed and organized so that all the member of the very exclusive gentlemen club could indulge in whatever activity, chat or business they felt like undertaking with a homey feeling.

Hae Wong listened to the soft gurgles of the Cabernet Sauvignon as his Chinese "new friend" filled his glass for the fifth time that evening with the deep-red ripples of the remarkable wine.

The young Lee had bought it from the club's finest wine cellar for their meet up and they had been leisurely savoring it for the past hour or so, discussing their business together in this pleasant environment.

Hae Wong usually had a rather steady gulp and a strong build when it came to resisting the influence.

Yet, even though the outstanding liquor was so exceptional it was close to nectar, Hae Wong was starting to feel uncomfortably hazy with all the alcohol he had been taking in.

But protocol had it that he could not turn the serving down?

Especially if he wanted the Cantonese magnate to become a close ally on his goals.

In his turn, he had politely refilled his partner to be's glass, but the latter seemed to just keep on sipping small gulps and he didn't have to pour that much in.

"Well," he summed up in Chinese, as he nodded to Hae Wong as a thank you, "I'm sure we'll be able to work out some kind of mutually beneficial arrangement regarding your objectives, Mr Lee."

"And I'll be looking forward to this happy conclusion, Mr Dô," Hae Wong replied in fluent Cantonese, smiling despite his dizziness.

Just as he was about to go further into details, he heard the click of the door handle as someone was entering the room.

The young blonde did not care to turn his back around to face the door.

He thought it must have been one to the waiters attending whatever they might have needed.

But his blood suddenly ran cold when he heard a familiar voice address his evening companion a very informal Chinese terms.

"Ah! Qiang Lei! Here you are!" the booming voice resonated.

"Jum Seung! Long time no see! How are you faring, my old friend?"

"Well, I can see you seem very well yourself! I'm pretty good, pretty good indeed! Especially when I know I can still count on faithful buddies!" and he winked at the Chinese suit-donned man, who broadly grinned back, to Hae Wong's utter dismay.
