"So let me get this straight, you're telling me that that someone broke into your house with a dead body, ripped her heart out, and smeared blood all over the walls and floors while the six of you were just downstairs talking and no one noticed?"
'Actually,' Sky signed to his cousin. 'I noticed the body was there the minute I walked into the house, but by that time the four of them were already sitting on the couch waiting for us.'
"So either they killed the poor girl before you came or someone is extremely speedy and stealthy. L'aire what have you gotten yourself into?"
"You're the one who wanted in on the serial killer case. Your favorite cousin being both a part of the clan involved and now essentially a witness gives you the perfect reason to snoop."
Sky wrapped both of his arms around Dominic and rested his head against his chest. Dom leaned down and placed a kiss on the top of his head before playing with his hair absentmindedly. He was sure that no one present at the meeting could have possibly done this, but he knew that nothing he could say could take them off the suspect list. Right now, he wanted nothing more than to take Sky back to his room, feed from him, and fall asleep with the love of his life in his arms.
"He was probably the one that killed her I mean we don't know anything about him!" Grey yelled, his face flushing in anger. Arika rolled her eyes and turned to Aiden.
"Mr. Silver-Laken I'm going to have to take everyone down to the station to get finger printed and get statements from everyone. I don't have enough room in my squad car for everyone to ride together so we'll have to wait for another officer."
"I understand that this is a very sensitive situation, but is it really necessary to get everyone's fingerprints?" She nodded.
"And a spit swab if you'll consent. It's the only way to rule you all out if we find any DNA evidence."
"You'll just ignore it when it proved that your cousin is a psycho so why should we even trust a corrupt cop like you?" Arika turns to Grey, ready to explode when Dominic beat her to it.
"What the fuck is your problem Grey? Sky is kind and honest and has done literally nothing to justify you hating him so much so I have no idea what in this world could have made you so fucking bitter that you're accusing a person you barely know of murder!"
"You're only defending him cause you're bonded now. If you hadn't fallen for his master plan to worm his way into clan business you would agree with me!"
"It's because I'm bonded to him that I know he's innocent! I have seen his memories, I know his thoughts and feelings. He could never have done something like this, and I have seen that he absolutely didn't. And for your information, I was the one that brought up bonding. I suggested that bonding would be a good way to become intimate with each other and I was the one that decided to bite him even though we've barely reached adulthood. I love him Grey and I have literally never been happier than I am being with Sky. If you can't grow the fuck up and accept that he's a permanent fixture in both of our lives then you can just fuck off and never talk to me again because I'm tired of dealing with your bullshit."
