I left the party early that night after having no luck finding Liam. Knowing my mom would question me for asking to come home early I just hung out outside. I waited for something to move out in the empty surrounding but nothing did. I sighed and checked my phone. 11:24 p.m. I unlocked it quickly and went down in my contacts. After finding the one I was looking for I hit the call button. 1 ring, 2 rings, 3 rings....

"Hello?" A voice asked. I froze for a second before answering.

"Liam????" I asked. It didn't sound like him.... It seemed deeper, older. I remembered it though, it seemed so familiar.

"No Scott. Liam's unable to talk at the moment." He said but I could hear Liam's voice in the background. Scott. Scott McCall? Lacrosse captain, junior, Scott?

"I have to talk to him. It's important....." I said. I looked around and sighed, alone.

"I'll ha-" Scott started before getting interrupted.

"Addi?????" Liam's voice asked through the phone. It sounded nervous and shaky.

"Hi Li." I said as a smile grew on my face. "Where are you?"

"Just went for a walk.... I'll be back soon." He said.

"Oh. Will you walk home with me?" I asked. I heard muffled voices in the background before he answered.

"Yea. I'll be back soon, wait for me." And with that he hung up. I paced outside for a while just looking for the right words to say, thinking about what little things I actually could tell him without placing his life in danger too. I sat down on the steps, and waited, and waited until finally I saw Liam's figure emerge from the forest. "Hey." He said and I smiled. His eyes didn't look right though.... I looked him over and something seemed weird.

"Hey." I said. I got up from my place and walked out to meet him.

"You wanted to talk?" He asked with a nervous smile. I nodded and looked up at him. I started walking down the path, motioning him to follow. As we started walking down the path, I noticed a lot of others had started to leave too. We walked in silence until we were out on the highway. "So, what's this about?" He asked.

"Okay. I don't know how to explain this but I-" Just as I started Mason, Garrett, and Violet drove up.

"Hey Liam! Where were you?" Mason asked.

"Just all over the place." Liam said.

"Come on, get in!" Garrett said. Liam looked at me with a look in his eyes like he wanted to go. I bit my lip and nodded. He smiled and opened up the door as I continued to walk.

"Aren't you going to come?" He asked looking confused. He stopped for a second and so did I.

"Sure get in the car with 2 people who want me died. Why not?" I whispered sarcastically. I said it too quietly for anyone to hear but I felt like I shouldn't have said it at all. "Your crowd.... Not necessarily mine." I said and continued on not even looking back.

"Addi!" He said.

"They're your friends. Go, have fun Liam." I said and continued walking. I heard the car door shut and hung my head. I watched the car drive by and Liam look out the window at me with an upset look. I just shook my head and kept walking. Great. 4 miles home in the dark, while some manics are trying to kill me..... I pulled out my phone and saw I had a new text.
