Chapter 11:
~Liam's POV~

I ran through the narrow hallway that lead from the roof to the morgue. Kira slowly followed behind me as I ran down the staircase. I listened carefully, trying to hear Addison, trying to make sure she was okay. I focused on her heartbeat. I relaxed as it beated in natural 1, 2 rhythm. My heart nearly stopped as I heard the speed increase. I looked at Kira who gave me a confused look. I took off running and turned to see a huge Berserker standing in between me and her. I saw her look at me with a desperate face before the Berserker punched her across the face, just as one of them had done to Kira minutes ago. I yelled out her name as she flew back and slammed into a wall. Her body laid still on the floor. I ran over to her and pulled her onto my lap, grazing my fingertips over where her head was hit. She let out a painful cry, making my heart broken. I listened to her comfort me as if she was dying. I won't let her die, I won't. I held her close and stood up carefully. I ran through the halls looking desperately for my step-dad. I felt tears rush down my face. Suddenly Addi's head fell back and her body started to go limp. I cried and tried to get her to focus her attention on me. I ran faster after being unsuccessful. I finally found him talking to other doctors.

"Dad!" I ran up to him in tears. He looked at me than at the girl in my arms. He excused himself and rushed with me to get her on a stretcher. "Is she going to be okay?" I asked while trying to pull myself together. He gave me a hopeful smile and asked me to leave the room. I nodded and kissed her forehead quickly before stepping out. I made my way over to where Scott, Stiles, and Mr. Argent stood. I  was mad, not a I.E.D mad, but I had a new found hatred towards myself. I shouldn't have asked her to help, I shouldn't have treated her the way I did. I looked at the room that she was in and sighed. I'm such an idiot. I looked at Scott with a look as if I was about to break down and I was. He hugged me quickly and I tried to hold it all in but I just didn't have the will power. "She's hurt and it's all my fault...." I said.

I stayed there all night as they looked at her head. They looked for brain damage, and trauma, and everything, nothing. She was going to be alright, if she wakes up. The impact acted like a severe concussion and threw her into a coma. I tried to stay with her as much as I could but after being to the hospital 24 hours straight my dad made mom pick me up. I sighed thought to myself. Everything I put her through, everything I said. I pushed her and she still had the kindness to help us. She's just a human, she could've died and it would've been all my fault. She's tough, and strong in every way possible, except emotional, but she's still fragile. She doesn't heal like us, fight like us, or have the reflexes we do, so for me to ask her to fight, well it was stupid. I felt the rage rush through me as I continued to blame myself and for one second I lost it. I punched a hole straight threw my wall before remembering I have to stay strong for her. I remembered the first time I controlled my shifting, I only could do it because of her....

"Stay away from me." I warned her. The anger rushed through my body as I stood in the locker room with her. Benched, I hated that word so much. I'ts not like I tried to injure my own teammate, I'm still learning how to control my werewolf strength. I watched as she walked closer.

"Liam." Her sweet voice said. I looked at her, eyes glowing with rage. I could feel my fangs and claws start to come out.

"I said stay away from me!" I was about to loose control. She frowned yet still walked towards me.

"You're not going to hurt me Liam. You're not a monster." She said with a reassuring look.

"If it looks like a monster, sounds like a monster, acts like a monster, it's a monster." I said with a helpless look. Suddenly she was right next to me and led me to a mirror.
