Karly's POV

I woke up to the beautiful natural sunlight shinning upon me.
I found myself still in the hospital bed with Hayes.

Hayes was sound asleep and he was sure as heck cute. I grabbed my phone and laid my head back on his shoulder against his head and snapped a picture.

Hayes rolled over hitting me with his hand, the bed wasn't that big. Hayes ended up hugging me.

I laughed as I fell back asleep knowing I was safe in his arms with nothing to worry about.

Hayes POV

I woke up to Karly punching my arm.

"Ow stop" I said digging my face in the pillow.

"It's time to get up" she said pushing me on my side.

"Five more minutes" I moaned.

"Fine, I will give you five seconds" she laughed.

Karly made me so happy, I didn't want to get up because that meant we would have to leave and I didn't want to leave this moment.

Karly crawled out of the bed and put on a crew neck sweatshirt.

A couple minutes later Taylor walked into the room.

"You guys ready?" he asked twirling the keys in his hand.

"Yes" I said grabbing my phone off the side table and slipping on my Vans.

Karly grabbed her things and followed me and Taylor into the hall where we walked to the front desk.

Karly's POV

[a/n; do you remember Kyra from the beginning of the book, if you don't go reread it from the first chapter, Kyra was Karlys room mate at the orphanage that was 6 years older than her, so she's 19 now]

Hayes and I sat down next to each other on the bench in the waiting area as dad checked me out of the hospital.

The girl in front of us stared at me.
When I looked back at her she quickly looked back into her magazine.

The face of the girl looked familiar.

"Wait" I blurred.

"What's wrong" Hayes asked concerned.

"Kyra?" I said to the girl.

"Karly?" she said smiling.

"Hey" I said getting up and giving her a hug.

"I thought I would never see you again!" she said as we pulled away from our hug.

"It's been forever, what are you doing here" I asked.

"Well, that douchebag" she said pointing back at a man her age that looked very rough.

He wore a worn out black hoodie, ripped jeans, a camo hat, and a pair of old work boots.

"Did he hurt you!" I asked concerned.

"Not necessarily" she said looking down.

"I'm pregnant" she whispered.

"Kyra! how old are you now" I asked shocked.

"Nineteen" she choked out trying not to cry.

I gave her a big hug. Then dad came back.

"Who's this?" he asked.

"Dad, this is Kyra, she was my friend from the group Home" I explained.

"Hello Kyra, I'm-" he got cut off.

"Taylor Caniff, I know I watch your vines and YouTube videos" she said smiling.

"Can I get a picture?" she asked smiling.

"Sure" he said.

"You too Kar" she said holding up her phone.

Me and dad smiled as she snapped the picture.

"Who the hell is this Kyra, are you seeing him" The guy in the black hoodie yelled.

"No John, these are my friends" she explained calming him down.

"No! you're seeing him aren't you" he screamed pushing her back.

He stepped over to dad.

"I will kill you, you don't take my girl"
He said raising his fist at dads face. The moment he walked over to us I could smell beer.

"Hey whoah, look I don't want any trouble okay, I don't even know her" he said pushing him back.

"You liar!" he yelled punching dad.
Dad flew onto the ground holding his face.

"John!" Kyra screamed.

"Dad!" I yelled sitting on the ground next to him.

Hayes shot up and walked to John.

"Hey!" Hayes yelled.

"Excuse me" John said turning around.

"John, leave them alone" Kyra cried pushing John away.

"Leave Taylor alone, you didn't have the right to punch him" Hayes yelled pushing him in the gut.

"What are you gonna do short fry" John chuckled pushing him away.

"Don't touch him!" I yelled from the floor.

Two doctors and the lady at the front desk ran over.

"What is going on here" one asked.

"Nothing" Hayes said pulling himself of the ground.

Another doctor helped dad off the floor and took him to get his nose checked out.

Mean while Hayes and I sat back in the waiting room. Hayes sat with an ice pack over his eye.

"This was my fault" I said stressed out.

"It wasn't your fault" Hayes sighed.
