Chapter Sixty

Matt's POV

I sat their speechlessly as Bailey balled on my lap. I stared into the white hospital walls, I was wanting to scream and cry but nothing came out.

"WHERE IS MY BABY!" Bailey screamed crying.

"She's gone I am sorry" the doctor said.

The lump in my throat finally exploded after the doctor left. The salty tears gushed down my face.

"Matt I want my daughter" she cried.

"I know I do too" I said patting her head.

More tears streamed down my face.
I held Bailey close as we cried.
I suddenly heard another cry, the cry of a baby.

I got up and looked the in crib where helpless little Noah laid. The doctor never said he was still in the room.

I looked at Noah's face, just like his sister. More tears came out of my eyes as Noah cried and reached for me.

I picked him up and held him tightly and close.

I brought him back to the bed with Bailey. I held both Bailey and Noah rocking them back and forth.

Bailey hesitantly got closer to Noah, shaking she kissed his head and continued crying.

"This is our family now" Bailey choked out sniffling and huffing.

"Our little family" she said breaking down into more tears.

I heard a tiny knock on the door. Bailey and I both wiped off our tears and sucked back the snot rolling from our noses.

Camerons head peeked in the doorway. He slowly opened the room and let himself inside.

He took his finger and cleared a tear off his eye.

"Are you guys okay?" He asked softly.

"The doctor told us what happened" he said in a general soft voice.

Cameron came to my side of the bed and looked at my arms where Noah laid sleeping. His hand nudged Noah's little cheek.

"He would have made a great brother" Cameron whispered quietly to himself.

"Can I hold him?" he asked, Cameron was the only who had talked that day.

I lifted my arms up to Cameron handing Noah to him, a soft 'shhh' slipped out of Cameron's lips as Noah made a small cry.

Cameron's sad face lit up smiling his big smile that showed his white teeth. Noah fell back asleep in Cameron's arms right away.
