Karly's POV

You'd think that dating advise would be weird coming from your own dad but its not when your dad is only 24. Most kids in my grades parent's are in their 40's, but I live with five kids that are in their early 20's still.

*******

I ignored Hayes the rest of the night letting him drowned in his mistake. The next day at school I told Hailey what Hayes said.

"Would you get mad if I dated him? Not saying I would" Hailey said after i told her.

"I dont know" i said a little hurt.

Hailey started going on about stuff I didn't care about. My eye was caught by Peyton who was walking down the hall with Brady.

"Karly stop staring" Hailey snapped.

I awoke from my day dream and fell on my face back to reality. I quickly looked away from Peyton hoping he didn't see me look at him. Peyton quickly moved his head revealing what was behind him, which was Hayes.

Hayes sent me a sorry face, I turned away in anger facing my friends. We started talking about the varsity football game that was in two days. I heard feet shuffling towards us.

Connor poked his head into our group circle.

"Karly" he said rambunctiously.

''What" I yelled back.

"Hayes wants you" he said shuffling away.

I shook my head and turned to Hailey.

"You can have Hayes, he yours" she laughed.

I sighed in fustration and went on with my day. My 7th hour english was a gut busting disaster. Hayes and Connor had teamed up on me.

"How was everyones day" Mrs. Halsey asked.

Hayes arm shot up in the air.

"Yes Hayes" Mrs. Halsey called.

I had a strange feeling in my stomach that he would say something stupid.

"My day was bad all thanks to Karly for ignoring me" he said with an evil smirk.

The whole class turned their heads and gave me death stares.

"Oh, well looks like you two have some fixing to do" she said.

The whole class started laughing. Humiliation and embarrassment filled my chest. I felt like crying but I didn't want to add that to my list of reasons why people are gonna make my life hell.

"Hayes and Karly are falling harder than dead birds" Connor blurted out, which that made no since at all.

"7th hour shush your mouths" the teacher yelled "This is not a way sophomores should be behaving" she said sternly. All the nasty comments and taunting laughs slowly faded away.
