Chapter Ninty

Karly's POV

(Skipping into 2019 at graduation)

"Karly" Cameron said wearing off his smile. I looked at everyone else's faces that were getting serious.

"Hi, congratulations" A voice said as Cameron revealed the body behind him. My heart seriously stopped and froze. My lip quivered and my eye twitched. A lump grew in my throat.

"Hayes?" I squealed trying not to cry.

"Hey Kar" He said smiling a closed mouth smile as his eyes watered.

I ran and jumped into his arms. He held onto me tightly, it felt like home. This was the feeling I had missed for the past few years. The hug lasted for at least a few minutes.

Everyone sat there crying.
Hayes rubbed circles in my back patting me. He rocked us back and forth like I was a baby.

"I missed you" I said under a cry.

"I missed you so much" he said pulling me in closer.

I pulled away from him so he could say hello to everyone else. I watched, I noticed that he was taller and had a stronger body. He grew at least three inches from what I remembered and his voice was deeper.

"Hayes this is my fiancée Jessica and our daughter Ellie" Taylor introduced.
My heart always goes down whenever he says 'his daughter' since I have to share that title now even though Ellie is his daughter by blood but I still came first.

I'm not necessarily jealous, but I wish I could still be number one. It seems like he pays more attention to Ellie but to be fair she's only Three she deserves the attention. After all Taylor was sent to a mental hospital over it.

He didn't take it easy when Jessica told him she was pregnant while he already had a daughter, he promised me I'd always be his number one but maybe that's why I have trust issues. Jessica was seeing another man, nobody knew whose baby it was until it was tested and came up with Taylor's results.

It was hard even though it sounds ridiculous to get sent to a hospital over.
At that time the following week Taylor told me "Never let anyone make you feel replaced, it may not seem like it but deep down everyone has a place for you." After all this time I reread that quote over and over to myself.

We all decided to catch up with Hayes over lunch also to celebrate my graduation. We drove to Olive Garden to get pasta, my favorite.

Since we both had our license Hayes insisted on driving. On the car ride there I received a text from Peyton.

Peyton; Hayes is back?

;Yes he's home

Peyton; I saw u hugging with him, does this mean you're back with him

; I'm not gonna leave u for him

Peyton; I feel like you want him back

;how could you say that

Peyton; bc Ik how tight u 2 r

:so what does this mean

Peyton; I'm not risking getting my heart broken by u

;r u breaking up with me

Peyton; ya before u break up with me

I threw my phone into my pocket in frustration not even thinking about responding to his text.

"Are you okay?" Hayes asked concerned, he's been more protective over these last 10 minutes.

"Fine, I'm fine" I said holding back my temper.

"Karly I might be a boy but I know that fine doesn't mean okay, what's wrong?" He always finds alway to make me blush.

"It's really nothing" I felt my cheeks flush.

"When you're ready to talk I'll be here, I want to be with you everywhere we go for now on, I don't want to leave you like I did before" He said looking into my bright eyes.

"Karly it was a mistake, I shouldn't have done this, look where it got me I lost you and I've regretted cutting myself and yelling at you every single day since then" he explained as a clear tear dropped streamed down his perfect face.

"I thought I lost you" I cried placing my hand over his wrist that were tapped with medical wrap.

"I'm right here, I promise to never leave you again."

"I trust you Hayes" I sobbed referring to Peyton who I couldn't trust again.

"I know Peyton just dumped you" he whispered. Some how I managed to laugh, I playfully punched his shoulder and got out of the car joining the rest of the family.

Authors note; I think that cleared up Taylor's hospital trip, who is Ellie and Jessica, and what happened to Hayes :)
