Chapter Fourty-One

karly's POV

I sat on the couch watching Dance Moms as everyone else did there own thing. A couple minutes later I got a text for Hayes.

"Meet me in the park in 10 minutes" it said.

"okay what for?" I reasponded

"just come"

I started getting ready by throwing on fun patterned shorts, a solid shirt, and a pair of vans. I pulled my hair back into a pony tail and told dad I was heading out.

I rode my penny board there. It felt so good to ride it again. I took in the moment as the window blew into my face and the sun shined. The park wasnt far from my house so it took about 5 minutes.

I picked up my penny board and carried it around looking for Hayes. Hopefully soon I'll be able to get my license.

I finally spotted him sitting under neath a big tree playing on his phone. I ran up to him and sat down.

"hey" I smiled.

"wow you look beutiful" he said admiring me, I didnt think I looked that nice.

"why did you want me to come to the park?" I asked as he pulled out a basket.

"I thought since you were back what was a better way to celebrate than a picnic" he explained.

I helped him put down the blanket and set up the food he brought. I laughed as he pulled out food from taco bell.

"I can't cook so I stopped at taco bell" he said embarrassed.

"I like taco bell" I said trying to make him not embarrassed.

we sat and ate our tacos and talked, it was the best picnic I have ever been on, or as Hayes refered to it as the best 'date'.

when we finished we played on the play ground even tho we were to big. Hayes pushed me on the swings and chased me aroud, it was like the childhood I never got.

Hayes and I played with the little kids, I sat on the merry-go-round with a couple little girls as Hayes and the little boys pushed it around.

I watched cafefully as Hayes tickled them, made them laugh, and helped them push. I imagined Hayes being the father of my future kids, I knew he would make a great father one day.

"what are you staring at" he laughed cover his face with his hands.

"your handsome face" I said crawling to the other end of the merry-go-round and pulling his hands of his face.

"handsome?" he smirked

"I dont see anything handsome on this face, but I can see a beautiful face on it" I smiled

that pick up line confused me.

"what beutiful face?" I asked.

"yours!" he said quickly kissing me, I got it now.

"ewwwww" all the kids that were playing with us yelled as they ran away.

A little ring tone went off, Hayes pulled away from the kiss to check his phone, as he texted I looked around the park, it was growing empty now because it was getting late and all the kids went home.

"that was Nash, he said be back at 8:30" he said staring into my eyes, I pulled out my phone to check the time, 7:30.

"we got like like an hour or so" I said doing a side smile.

Hayes and I both looked up at the sky, the sky was getting darker.
