Karly's POV

A herd of butterflies flew around my stomach. A sick feeling was in me, the Ouija board just wasn't right. I started changing my mind on letting Hayes do this.

"Hayes, please don't" I begged.

"Karly you're no fun" he whined with a cute puppy dog face. I missed that face.

I crossed my arms and gave him a dirty look. Of course he took the box off the shelf and placed it onto the check out counter.

"Are you sure?" the man asked.

"Positive" Hayes answered.

I nervously watched Hayes hand the man a crisp twenty dollar bill. My clammy hands were dripping with sweat.

I bit my lip as we walked out the door with the board. I looked around the dark surroundings.

"I know the perfect place to do this" Peyton smirked.

"The old high school" he explained.

"Peyton that place is closed down, there's no trespassing" Hailey said.

We walked a couple blocks away to the old high school against Hailey's will.

The parking lot was full of weeds and grass. Dark green moss grew around the old brick building.

We ran up to the door that had a 'no trespassing' sign on it. The rims of the sign were rusty and cringing. We all stepped over the yellow police tape.

"It's locked" Hailey complained.

"Follow me" Peyton said charging for a window.

He crawled in between the broken glass. We all followed behind him trying not to cut our arms on the sharp glass.

I stepped inside the smelly building. It smelled like mildew and mothballs.

"Let's go to the gym" Peyton smiled.

I stared at the old memories on the wall as we walked to the gym.

"What even happened here?" Hayes asked.

"A school massacre happened back in '98" Hailey explained.

"The principal lost his mind and started killing all the students with an axe" Peyton said getting more detailed.

"They say the principal hung himself in the gym. All the bodies of the unlucky ones were all found but nobody could find the principal" Hailey added.

A cold chill trickled down my spin. We were walking down the dark halls of a crime since with only the dim lights from our phones.

I aimed my phone at the walls. Pictures of basketball teams and football teams hung. I was startled by a splat of blood crusted on the wall. little drops of blood stained the wall or at least I assumed it was blood.

A loud creek filled the air.

Peyton swung the gym door open.

"I'm not sure about this" Hailey said grabbing my hand tightly.

"Read this" Peyton said handing me his iPad from his backpack.

On the screen was a article.

" November 6th 1998 terror strikes PineView High School of west Indiana.
78 innocent young teens are killed with an axe, 15 are sent to the hospital with major injuries. 56 students are being treated in mental hospitals to wash away their trauma. 51 year old Thomas Stevens is being prosecuted for murder. Local fire fighters and police have no trace of the body after it was hung from the ceilings of the gym.
Investigators are still trying to find answers."
