Chapter 16

KATHRYN'S POV:

I'M SUPER PROUD of my labor of love! Pinaghirapan ko talaga iluto yung favorites ni Enrique ko - cheesy tuna carbonarra, chicken barbecue, macaroni salad and pork adobo. Parang they don't really go together pero it's okay, I know he's gonna eat them anyway.

I heard his car parked outside our house already. Checked myself in the mirror muna before going out. Buti na lang, si Kath ang nagbukas ng gate. As soon as he entered the house, sinalubong ko na agad sya.

Oh my.. My boyfriend is sooo handsome. Bagay na bagay sa kin. Haha.

"Hi!" I kissed him and embraced him. Napalingon naman sya kay Kath. For sure, nahihiya nanaman 'to. Well, sa kin okay lang, kasi nasa bahay naman kami so hindi na PDA 'to. And it's just Kath who will see us anyway. I hugged his arm and guided him to the kitchen habang pinagmamalaki yung mga niluto ko.

"Ang dami nito ah. Ilan ba bisita natin?" he asked as soon as he stood beside the table.

"Wala naman, tayo lang and si Kath. I invited Quen pala so four tayo."

He shook his head while smiling. "Akala ko may handaan eh. Hindi lang pang apat na tao yan. Sana nag invite tayo ng street children."

"Enrique! Hanggang sa monthsary natin, charity pa rin?!" na-meywang ako at inirapan sya kunwari. He has the craziest ideas.

He went near and hugged me. "Joke lang," he kissed the top of my head. "Thanks. You make this day extra special."

"Syempre naman," I looked up to him. "Boyfriend ko na ang dream man ko eh." I even winked at him.

"Asus.." he chuckled and pinched my cheeks. "Sinagot na kita. Wag mo na kong bolahin."

"Sinagot your face!"

He laughed and hugged me tighter. "Thanks, really," then he touched his nose to mine. "I love everything about you."

Sa sobrang kilig ko, hindi na ko nakasagot. I just smiled at him and separated already. "Tara na nga, dinner na tayo."

"Okay."

We started preparing the table together and i called on Kath. She was so busy with her final projects.

I noticed Enrique stepped out of the room. Niyayaya nya na din pala si Kath, mukhang ayaw pang sumabay sa min. They just appeared to the door, tulak-tulak nya pa yung kakambal kong hindi maipinta yung mukha.

"Hey, okay ka lang?" i asked her.

"Yeah. I just need to finish something urgent," she said.

Naupo na kami and started eating. "Si Quen, susunod ba?"

"May game daw eh.."

"Text him to come here after," i insisted.

"Dalawa yung kalaban nila. Baka late na daw matapos."

Enrique and i just shrugged. Nawili nanaman siguro sa barkada si Quen.

We just had our dinner while talking about random stuff. Mukhang masaya naman sila sa niluto ko. Hindi ko na lang pinapansin pero tinitikman na ni Enrique lahat, a little bit of everything. Pero si Kath - hmm, she looked a little bit down. Parang hirap na hirap mag smile or tumawa. Siguro nami-miss nya si Quen? Or hinihintay nya pa rin na dumating? I don't know. Pero ayan, mukhang hindi nya din naririnig yung pinag uusapan namin.
