KATH'S POV:
To: Quen
Done with the meeting! I'm here at Mcdo.
It's Saturday and ngayon na 'yung napag-usapan naming araw ni Quen para pumunta sa Batangas. Pero may morning meeting pa ko para sa final project sa isang subject kaya magkikita pa lang kami.
I heard my phone beeped.
From: Quen
Ok baby! Will be there in a jiffy ;)
I smiled at his message. He always replies on time. He's never late whenever we meet. At napaka-thoughtful nya - he texts "good morning" as soon as he wakes up, he calls me up pag wala kaming chance na magkita sa campus, he still sends gifts and food sa room ko, and he wants to be the last person i talk to before i sleep at night. Haaay.
While waiting for him, i got my new novel and started reading through. Pero bago ko pa ma-absorb ang binabasa ko, naalala ko nanaman si Quen...
Magkasama kami nung binili ko yung book. Tapos, tumambay kami sa library; he was studying for his Sociology exam and sinasamahan ko lang sya habang sinisimulan ko yung novel. I was concentrating on the story and nakakailang pages na ko when he suddenly held my hand on the table.
"Why?" i looked at him.
He just smiled at me. "Wala lang." Tapos binalik nya na yung mata nya sa handouts nya, pero hawak nya pa rin yung kamay ko. It turned out, magka-holding hands lang kami habang busy kami pareho sa pagbabasa.
How random and sweet, right? I smiled absent-mindedly upon remembering that. Since hindi na din naman ako maka-focus, tinago ko na ulit yung book. I just browsed through my phone.
Ang dami na pala naming pictures.
Quen is fond of taking our photos. Kaya for sure, mas marami kami sa phone nya. I stopped at one photo, my most favorite... it was taken at our house one night nung hinatid nya ko. Nakaupo kami sa sofa habang nagkukwentuhan, tapos nakatulog ako sa balikat nya. He took a selfie of us with him staring at my face and watching me sleep. Parang candid, pero sya lang pala yung may kuha nun, at sa phone ko pa. Sabi nya, may ganun din sa phone nya. So now, it's his caller ID na. It appears whenever he calls.
"Ang gwapo naman nyan. Boyfriend mo?" I heard a voice behind me and it made me smile bigger.
"Hmm.. unfortunately, yes," i responded not looking at my back.
Bigla na lang nya kong niyakap nang mahigpit habang nakaupo pa rin ako. "Unfortunately pala ha!"
I giggled already. "Joke lang!"
He kissed my cheeks before letting me go. "Tara na?"
"Yup!" Tumayo na ko and got my things. We walked to his car.
Nasa daan na kami nung nagtanong sya ng directions. "Saan exactly sa Batangas tayo pupunta?"
"Sa Nasugbu. Ituturo ko na lang sayo yung daan kung hindi mo pa alam."
"I know how to get to Batangas via Lipa or Batangas City. Pero hindi ako familiar sa Nasugbu."
"Na-search ko na, i actually have a map here." I showed him a screenshot on my phone.
