Chapter 9- Bye- Bye Jade
"She waved me over to her, and I followed her into the hall. She got angry at me for telling everyone that she has an STD. Then she told me to stay away from you and that the sweatshirt was now hers. She tried to pull it off, but pulled it back downwards. She caught me off-guard and slapped me. Then she managed to pull it right off of me, and the shirt as well."
Asher shakes his head, and pulls me in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around him, and rest my head on his warm chest. Quickly, I pull away.
"Sorry," he says.
"Don't you need a shirt?" I ask him.
"I'll just take another sweatshirt out of my locker," he says, grinning.
"Why do you have so many sweatshirts in your locker?"
"There are only 2," he says, while slipping on another sweatshirt. This one doesn't have his last name on the back of it.
"Sure there are," I tease him.
We both walk back to the lunchroom. I guess I'm going to actually have to eat the apple in class.
"Come," I say, dragging him to my locker. Jordan put my bag in there while I went to homeroom.
I take the apple out of the bag, and put it in the sweatshirt's pocket. Asher laughs at me, but doesn't say anything. I kick him in the shin, but it wasn't hard enough to get him to stop laughing at me.
We run to the lunchroom, even though there were only 10 minutes left.
"Did you eat?" I ask Asher.
"A little," he replies.
"Let's go steal the boy's food," I say, grinning.
The rest of the day surprisingly goes by quickly, maybe that was because I had someone that I could roast with me all day long. I ended up eating the apple during Language Arts. The teacher fell asleep and there was no way I was going to read the book she wanted us to read. From the blurb, it seemed to be about a boy living in the wild. I only enjoy reading good science-fiction books.
After gym, I followed Asher because I didn't know where we were supposed to meet the other boys.
"Where are we going?" I asked Asher, noticing he completely passed the front exit.
"We are going to get Jade expelled," he whispers into my ear.
Asher knocks on the principles office.
"Come in," we hear.
"We have to report Jade Cross," Asher says.
"What did she do now?" Mr. Tropi asks.
"She slapped Abi and pulled off her shirt and sweatshirt."
"Thank you, Asher. Tonight, I will call her parents and expel her. She has done similar stuff like this several times but we had no witnesses."
"Also, she still has the shirt and sweatshirt. I gave Abi my shirt and got something out of my locker. Could we have that stuff returned please?" Asher asks.
"I'll try," the principle says.
"Thank you," Asher says. We walk out of his office, glad to have one less slut in the school.
"Hey, Abi?" Asher says.
"Yes?" Abi replies.
"You look very pretty when your hair is down."
