"Hey Penis!" Peter silently cursed as he heard the holler cascade down the halls. Flash hadn't spoken to him the entire day, so he was tense all day. He felt himself being slammed against the lockers, heads turned and phones were taken out, recorded fights were always popular.

"Try and hide from me today Parker?" He snarled and got closer to the secret hero's face. Peter closed his eyes and held his breath, someone had been eating onions. "Look at me when I'm taking to you, penis." Peter was met with a fist to his face. He groaned as he felt blood trickle down his lip from his nose. He reluctantly opened his eyes towards the bully, his yellow teeth bared.

"God, you're so pathetic. You make me sick," Flash almost spat. "Hell, even your parents were pathetic. They couldn't even live long enough to see you grow into the little shit you are today. Even your oh so precious uncle, Ben, died because he couldn't stand to look at you anymore-" he was cut off by a swift punch in the jaw, shocking every person around. Flash stumbled back, clutching the area he was hit, groaning.

But Peter didn't stop. He lunged again and did a sharp uppercut, causing Flash to collapse backwards. Collective gasps were heard as Flash began to stumble upwards, only to be swiped off his feet and kicked in the chest as he was falling, sending him to the opposite end of the hall, directly into the lockers, a move he learned from Natasha. Peter loomed over him, gasping heavily with anger, and began punching. He couldn't seem to stop, however he definitely wasn't using his full strength.

"Oh my god, Peter's gonna kill him!" Someone shouted, the sentence no one ever thought would be spoken. By now a large crowd was forming and growing rapidly, people eager to watch as the nerd finally got back at the bully, surprisingly, none of Flash's 'friends' stepped in.

When Peter pulled his fist back to get another hit in, he was stopped. He felt a pair of strong arms wrap around his torso and lift him up, off of the ground above Flash, and Peter's body pressed against this persons body. He felt a hand stroke through the curls of his hair as he tried to escape, pounding on the back of whoever this person was.

"Relax, underoos." He heard the familiar gruff voice and immediately froze. His red vision that he wasn't even aware of subsided and he could clearly see through the gap between the arms of Tony on how big the crowd was. They were staring at the billionaire, who was holding the small boy with bloodied knuckles. It was truly a sight to behold. And each and every student had at least seven pictures.

Tony was pressing the young kid against him, making sure that Peter couldn't turn his head in the angle to see what he had done to Flash, as the image would for sure haunt him at night. Tony watched as the nurse bent down over the bloodied figure and began wiping the blood from his face, to see if he would need stitches. His lip was busted open and his nose was bleeding, as well as heavy bruises littering Flash's face, it was no surprise that he was unconscious.

-.-

Tony was walking the tear eyed kid out of school, his arm wrapped protectively over Peter's shoulder. Peter's guilty gaze trained on the floor as the older man guided Peter out of school. Peter knew he was going to get chewed out for fighting another kid, and he felt guilty for feeding into the rumours that he was Tony Stark's kid, the pictures of Tony embracing the child would give reporters all over the country a field day, exaggerating their relationship and make up facts about their bond. As they were leaving the school, they clearly heard over the loud speakers 'Peter Parker to the principals office immediately' but Stark told him to ignore it.

When they arrived at the avengers tower, the entire team was surprisingly on their hands and knees, scrubbing the floors that seemed to be covered in tomato sauce and noodles.

"Hey Tony, did you happen to pick up three large pizzas while you were out?" Clint asked, not looking up from the stain he was desperately trying to get rid of. Tony raised a brow and denied, causing the others to groan.

"I'm starving," Thor complained, as he sat on his heels while tossing the cloth to the floor.

"Well maybe, just a thought, if you didn't throw your food on the floor like a four year old then you wouldn't be so hungry!" Steve yelled at him, and threw his cloth on the floor in frustration, followed by all of the avengers. Tony had decided to not hire any cleaners as he wanted to make sure the avengers knew how to clean up after themselves, although he often had to remind Bruce and Thor to clean their rooms when they got too messy.

"Hey, what's Peter doing here?" Wanda asked, beginning to get up and stretch her back. Peter shrugged and began to walk out of the room, but didn't even make it further than a step before Tony held his collar of his buttoned shirt.

"Not so fast, mister. You're grounded, no lab privileges for a week... and no xbox. So... go to your room, and don't come down 'til I tell you to." Tony struggled, he hadn't had to punish Peter before, other than taking away his suit, which proved to be a major disaster. Peter huffed loudly and began his trek to his room, making sure he was heard by stamping his feet and slamming any doors he went through.

Tony groaned and put his hand over his face, rubbing his aching temples. When he opened his eyes he was met with many confused faces, the rest of the avengers weren't particularly sure as to why Tony, the man who was up for a party at any time, was being so uptight. Tony explained that Peter got in a fight and did some pretty bad damage to the other kid, although Tony wasn't sure why.

"Y'know, you should go and talk to him. Ask him why he did that, there's always two sides to a story." Bucky piped up from the other end of the room, sightly surprising Tony as he wasn't aware that he was even listening. But he did have a point.

"Just let him cool of for a bit," Natasha suggested. "He seemed pretty angry, so I would leave him for a bit." Tony nodded and let out another sigh before heading to the fridge and take out a can of coke. Long ago, Peter had switched all of the alcohol for fizzy beverages to coax his father figure out of his alcohol problem.

It worked pretty damn well as Tony had been sober for six months and he intended to keep that streak up.

It was around 5pm when FRIDAY reminded Tony to speak to Peter. It took twenty more minutes to gather his thoughts and practise what he had to say. He knocked on the door before entering without permission, like every parent does. He saw Peter in his suit sitting by the window, ready to begin patrol. Peter had heard Tony's footsteps pacing outside the door and decided to wait for him.

"Hey Pete," he started. "Can I talk to you for a moment?" He sat down on the edge of his sons bed, although he felt nervous, he didn't show it. Peter shrugged and looked back out of the window, resisting the urge to answer back sarcastically, knowing that's what ticks him off. "Do you wanna tell me why you decided to make that kid bleed?"

"That kid was Flash Thompson, a known bully. He's a total douchebag and totally had it coming. It's unfair that you punish me for serving justice." Peter rambled, although as soon as the words came out of his mouth, he knew that he was holding a weak argument. "He insulted my family, Mister Stark. My dead family. I'm not gonna just stand there and take it like I usually do. Someone has to defend their honour!" He flailed his arms as he spoke, angry dripping from his tone, momentarily surprising Tony from the sudden outburst.

"What did he say?" Tony asked. He wasn't just curious, he was angry. If what this Flash kid said to Peter to make him lash out like that then it must've been pretty bad.

"He was just saying shit like I'm a disappointment to my parents or something along the lines of that," he lied, the true words hurt too much to say out loud. However Tony tilted his head in confusion.

"You're not a disappointment to me," Tony said, seeming genuinely confused. Peter froze, Tony had just unintentionally called himself Peters father. Realisation dawned on Tony and he coughed, embarrassed. "Go be Spider-Man. We'll talk more later."

Peter nodded and opened the window, before shooting his web and swinging off.

This chapter took embarrassingly long. Maximum effort. I bet you thought Peter was gonna be a bag of bruises in this but NOPE. lolololol also shitty WiFi cuz I moved into an area with NO FIBRE CABLE OR ACTUAL GOOD WIFI AND IM HEARTBROKEN!!! So regular updates are deceased and chapters will be released in bunches. Maybe. Depends on how fast I write the stories and how long.
