Basically a Diary, 2018 (#2)

26th July (Thurs)

I would just like to start off this entry by saying hello 👋 my name is Kate and you're reading a daily diary about my life. I don't complain about boys and I'm not about to kill anyone any time soon so if you're looking for that then I would seek something else 😂 This is purely a place where I write about what happened that day and even though some days are really boring for me, I still try my hardest to make them at least somewhat entertaining.

So, onto what happened today...
Today I went along with Dad for his eye test and the went shopping at Lidl.

I was bored in the afternoon so I baked some buns. They didn't really go as well as I hoped though: I didn't have enough flour, I don't read the oven instructions properly and the icing was more like a glaze because I ran out of icing sugar. I'm glad I made said 'glaze' with lemon juice and (accidentally on purpose) put too much sugar and vanilla in the mixture because it just made it taste so good.

After tea (delicious chicken in a garlic and breadcrumbs 😋) we went to the Hill Climb. It's an annual event on a farm where local bikers either partake in or watch stupid, usually middle aged men drive up a really steep hill on super fast motorbikes. I understand if you're into that kind of thing, it's just not my cup of tea 🏍
