Today I had my careeres meeting, which is basically just a chat with a teacher about what you want to do in your future and how the school can help you achive that. Although he was very nice and thoughtful, the teacher didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. Which isn't very helpful!
I also had a weird assembly where they tried to convince to spend 2 weeks of my precious school holiday trapped in one of those adventure parks with a load of people I don't know and having to get in those horrod wet-suits to eventually accidentally fall into a river anyway. Then when that fiascos over, your only retreat is a musty, worm-ridden dorm room with a bathroom stall being your only place for solitude. And all for "experience"? No thank you.
For the first time in a long time, I've actually got an anecdote for you today: (Contains mentions of emesis)
After Physics revision Mum and I went into town to get stuff for tea, but we passed the fish and chip shop on the way and so decided to treat ourselves to chip butties. While we were in there, a girl in my year was waiting for her order in the queue. Quite unexprectidally her little sister just started being sick all over the chippy floor and despite her Mum's feeble attempts at getting her out on time...alas it was too late. And on that note...
À demain beau amis
P.S. Can I just say, I knew how to say that without using Google translate! #GCSEFrenchForTheWin 🇫🇷💕
P.P.S. I've got a thing against those "Adventure Camps", can you tell?
