This morning, I was on the student panel for interviewing possible teachers. It was really repetitive and boring, but at least I missed the annual Christmas carol service at the church.

In the afternoon, there was a "rewards evening" where students who got 0-2 negatives could get changed into non-uniform and watch a Christmas film with hot chocolate.

As you know I have a milk allergy so I couldn't be in the hall when everyone will be having hot chocolate. I told the teacher who was organising the afternoon (I'm gonna call her Mrs Phil for this scenario) the situation last week and she said she'd sort something else out.

So I get to the hall not knowing where else to go, and I asked 2 teachers if it was alright if I did some coursework alternatively with my friends and they both said yes. But when it comes to Miss Phil she immediately says I'm not permitted to be in the hall and that I have to do proper lessons with all the idiot kids who (to put it lightly) misbehave, even though the lesson I'm meant to be in is lead by her!

So after ripping up the invite and having a cry in the staff toilets (because they were the nearest private spot) I pull myself together and kinda just mope around the bottom floor of the school. One of my English teachers (I'm going to call her Miss Book) was carrying a heavy box of books down the stairs, so I asked if I could help and them maybe stay with her for the next two hours of the afternoon. Miss Book explains she's got a class soon but I'm welcome to sit in the English office, and how she's got loads of cutting to do.

Thus making my afternoon being spent cutting up matching-cards for an activity she's got planned at watching Brooklyn 99 in a cold room while all my friends (who weren't allowed to come with me because "they deserve a reward" according to Miss Phil) watch Elf in the hall and share snacks. It was a bit rubbish to be honest.

I went home and told my mum what happened this afternoon and she got so annoyed that I missed out that she drove to my school (we don't live far away) and started shouting at Miss Phil, prompting her to make up all this bull about how she was "concerned for my health" and was just thinking about how unfair it was. Miss Phil said she couldn't let me out because she didn't have any supervision for me, even though she's know for at least a week and - not to be a goody-too-shoes or anything - but I'm probably one of the most trustworthy students into school right now. The class she was meant to be teaching weren't even in lesson, and just wandering around school 🙄

So yeah, today was eventful.

See you tomorrow 🥰
P.S. I've written 510 words this entry! I'm pretty sure that's a new record 🥳🥳🥳
