-16- "Are You On Our Side?"

Indiana walked to Clint whilst taking a bite off her sandwich. "Got anything?"

"Yup," said Clint proudly. "She send Morse code, and now I found her location."

"I'm gonna say this once," came the voice of Steve from upstairs.

"Oh shit," Indiana muttered under her breath. Above them, the ceiling was made of glass, so she could easily see Steve, the twins, Bruce and her father.

"How about 'nonce'?" said Tony.

"Shut it down," said Steve.

"Nope, not gonna happen," said Tony.

"You don't know what you're doing," said Steve.

"And you do? She's not in your head?" said Bruce, pointing at Wanda.

"I know you're angry," said Wanda.

"Oh, we're way past that. I can choke the life out of you and never change a shade," said Bruce.

"Banner, after everything that's happened-" said Steve, but was cut off by Tony.

"That's nothing compared to what's coming!" said Tony.

"You don't know what's in that!" said Wanda.

"This isn't a game," said Steve.

"The creature-" said Wanda. But she was cut off after Pietro used his speed to cut off the lab equipment.

"No, no. You were saying," said Pietro.

"Watch this," said Indiana to Clint. She took a mini gun and pointed it at the glass ceiling above her where Pietro was standing on. She shoot the glass, careful not to hit Pietro. The glass broke as Wanda let out a shriek. Pietro fell in front of Indiana. She put one of her feet on his leg so he won't move. "What? You didn't see that coming?" 

"I'm re-routing the upload," said Tony, his voice a bit more clearer now that the glass was broken.

Steve threw his shield at Tony, but he dodged it, and the shield hit some of the equipment. Bruce got a hold of Wanda. Clint took the gun from Indiana and went upstairs.

"Go ahead, piss me off," said Bruce, as Tony's iron suit was coming at him. Wanda used her powers to make Bruce let go of her and blasted him with an energy blast. Clint pointed the gun at Wanda threateningly.

Just then, Thor joined the party. He breaks the cradle and blasts a lightning bolt at the body to bring it to life.

Indiana couldn't help but smile, thinking of frankenstein.

"Wait!" Bruce shouts at Thor.

The cradle exploded as Indiana fell down and covered her face with her hands, as Pietro sped upstairs. After a few seconds, she took her hands off her face to see the body looking around, and then attacked Thor. Thor threw it to the other side of the room, but it stopped before hitting the window. Indiana ran upstairs to see Steve being ready to attack, but Thor gave him a signal to stop.

The body was looking at its own reflection through the window. He turned around and flew back to them. 

"Sorry, that was... odd," it said. It's voice sounded like Jarvis. It looked at Thor and said, "Thank you."

"Thor, you helped create this?" said Steve.

"I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center is that," said Thor, pointing at the gem in the middle of the body's head.

"What, the gem?" said Indiana.

"It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities," said Thor.

"Then why would you bring it to-" said Steve, but Thor answered him.

"Because Stark's right," said Thor.

"Oh, it's defiantly the end times," said Bruce.

"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron," said Thor.

"Not alone," The body continued.

"Why does your 'Vision' sound like Jarvis?" asked Steve.

 "We... they reconfigured Jarvis' matrix to create something new," said Indiana, pointing her head at Bruce and Tony.

"I think I had my fill of new," said Steve.

"You think I'm a child of Ultron?" asked 'the Vision', as Steve called it.

"You aren't?" said Steve.

"I'm not Ultron. I'm not Jarvis. I'm... I am..." said the Vision.

"I looked into your head and sawannihilation," said Wanda.

"Look again," said the Vision.

"Yeah. Her seal of approval means jack to me," said Clint.

"Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone, and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side..." said Thor.

"Is it?" said Steve. He looked at the vision. "Are you? On our side?"

"I don't think it's that simple," said the Vision.

"Well, it better get real simple real soon," said Clint.

"I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't. He will end it all," said the Vision.

"What does he want?" asked Indiana.

"You," said the Vision, looking at all of them.

"Where?" asked Bruce.

"Sokovia. He's got Nat there, too," said Clint.

"If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be..." said Bruce.

"What will you do?" said the Vision. He looked around, probably realizing they will kill him. "I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique, and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go."

He grabbed Thor's hammer and handed to him whilst everyone stared in shock. Thor looked at his hammer and back at the Vision before grabbing the Hammer from him before the vision walked off.

There was an awkward silence whilst everyone looked at Thor, until Thor himself broke the silence. "Right."

"Thor patted Tony's shoulder and said "Well done."

"Three minutes, get what you need," said Steve, as everyone went off to get ready.
