Chapter 16

Yume's POV
Right now I'm jogging around the school getting my mind clear, but every time I try doing that the scene of Subaru-senpai kissing my cheek would replay.
And I keep feeling the same feelings after he kissed my cheek. I keep questioning myself about it but no answer.

"YUME!" Someone shouts that makes me go back to reality.
"Huh." I say and turn around to see Laura.
"Finally. Where were you. Dreaming about your Prince Charming Subaru." Laura said that made my cheeks turn red.
"Right on the spot." She said teasingly.
"Of course not." I said.
"Anyways I was thinking since valentine is coming up do you want to do a live show with me Mahiru and Ako?" She asked.
"Ya sure I would love to!" I said cheerfully.
"Ok now I'm going to find a place for us to  perform in." Laura said as she walked away.
~time skip~
I'm tired and I have nothing to do. Classes are over so maybe I could go and have some ice cream.
I quickly went to my dorm, put on some clothes and headed to town.
I found this new café that's supposed to have good ice cream, so I went inside and saw a certain green haired boy, I went to his table that's at the edge of the café and tapped his shoulder.
"Hello oni-san." I said.
"Hi, Yume." He said.
"May I sit here?" I asked.
"Ya sure." He said.
"So why are you here alone." I asked.
"I'm not alone, I'm just waiting for Subaru to arrive, so we can hang out. What about you?" He said.
"I had nothing to do so I came here to eat ice cream." I said.
We chatted for a bit then a waitress came to our table, "May I take your orders?"
"I'll have chocolate ice cream." I said.
"I'll have the same as her." Oni-san said.
Then the waitress went to get our orders.
"So I just want to thank you." Oni-san said.
"Thank me for what?" I asked.
"You convinced me to confess to Ako, and I did that and now we're dating." He said.
"Really?! I'm so happy for you!" I said in a voice that would show my excitement but still wouldn't grab attention to us.
Later the waitress came back with our orders.
"Hey." A boy in disguise said.
"Hey Subaru." Oni-san said.
"Hello Subaru-senpai." I said.
"Hello Yume, didn't know you were here." He said.
"Oh I was here and I happened to spot Kanata-senpai." I said.
"Oh... Ok. Ready?" He asked. Oni-san nodded and they walked out.
After finishing my ice cream I head out of the café and back to the school to start training with Laura Mahiru and Ako.

Subaru's POV
"Hey." I said.
"Hello Subaru." Kanata said.
"Hello Subaru-senpai." A girl said. When I looked closer I realized it was Yume.
"Hello Yume, didn't know you were here." I said trying to hide my suspicion.
"Oh I was here and I happened to spot Kanata-senpai." Yume said.
"Oh.... Ok. Ready?" I asked. Kanata nodded and we walked out.
The second we got out of the café I said, "Okay, spill it."
"Spill what?" He asked.
"Why do I find you most of the hanging out with Yume?" I asked.
"We're good friends that's all." He said.
"Really? Just friends?" I asked.
"Y-ya." He answered becoming more and more nervous.
"Really~" I asked.
"Why do you care." He asked the question that caught me off guard.
"Just curious." I lied. While the truth is that I don't want Kanata and Yume dating because I want to confess to her.
"So I heard you and Ako started dating?" I said trying to change the subject.
"Y-ya." He said.
"Glad you found that special person." I said.
"Thanks." He said.
"Back to the old topic." He continued.
Now I'm not comfortable.
"What about it." I said nervously.
"Do you like Yume?" He asked.
"What??" I said.
"Do you like Yume?" He asked again.
"S-so what if I do?" I asked.
"Well you can't date her." He said.
"And why is that? It's not like you're her father or something." I said, now he's really pissing me off.
"It's just that you can't." He said.
"Is it because you love both, her and Ako?" I asked.
"No I don't love Yume." He said.
"You know what, let's just forget about the argument for now and enjoy our time off." I said.
"Fine with me." He said. Then we continued to have fun the entire day. But one question stayed unanswered...
What's going on between Kanata and Yume.
