After explaining the situation to Joseph, he finally agreed to drive me to the hospital. I sat in the car in complete silence. I didn't even complain about Joseph's music as I normally would have. All I could think of was Jensen. The girl whom I'd known for forever. The girl everyone saw but never noticed. I couldn't let my mind wander to the thought of her being dead. I just couldn't imagine it. As soon as we reached the emergency room I was out the car and sprinting. Joseph had to run to keep up. I stopped at the front desk.
"I'm here to see Jensen Monroe." The lady looked down at some papers and smiled.
"Wait there." she says pointing down the hall to the waiting room. I smiled although I want to see Jensen now. I didn't want to wait. I took a seat in a chair on the end and sighed. Joseph just stood there awkwardly unsure of what to do.
"Um, it's going to be okay Sky. I'm sure Jensen's fine." he says unsure of what to do. He bends down and gives me a half hug. I can't help but laugh.
"Jo, you suck at comforting people." I tell him. He laughs too and for a moment the anxious feeling I had disappears. I look around the hospital. There are people crying, sick people, doctors rushing through halls, everyone with their own problems. Joseph eyes the snack machine. "I'll be right back..." he says. I nod.

The girl sitting next to me taps my shoulder. "What are you here for?" she wants to know. "I'm here to see a friend." I tell her.
"And your boyfriend brought you here? How sweet."
"WHO?! HIM? HE'S NOT BOYFRIEND!"
"Oh really? Well is he single?" she says eyeing Joseph.
"Yeah, he's ALL yours honey." I say because I know she's interested. Jo returns with a bag of chips and a candy bar and sits next to the girl.

"Hey," A tearful woman says approaching me. It's Jensen's mother. I nod standing up. I rush over and put my arms around her. "Is she okay?" I ask nervously. She nods.
"She kept asking to see you, so that's why I called." I follow her to Jensen's room and I see her. She's lying there staring at the ceiling. Mrs. Monroe gives me a reasssuring look and I go in.
"Jen..." I say. She doesn't look at me. I sit in the chair next to her bed and grab her hand. Her eyes turn in my direction and I jump. "Jen?" I say again.
"You guys should be together..." she says. She shuts her eyes tightly and reopens them.
"What are you talking about?" I ask.
"You should talk to him before he leaves. Trust me." How does she know about Drew? I wonder to myself. She must've read my mind because she laughs. "Steak and Shake? Really Sky? It's a public place. I SAW you and Drew in the car."
"So that's why you wanted to see me? To tell me to fix things with Drew?"
"Mmhm, he's leaving tommorow."
"Wait but how did you know things were broken? And who told you he was leaving tommorow. And what happened to you? What did you do to yourself?" The questions come out in a jumble and I'm not sure she understands.
"I'll be okay Sky, just go talk to Drew..." is all she says before her eyes close...
