Love at First Sight

Chapter 3

Toothless P.O.V

"So, do you want to come and see Hiccup?" I asked with a bright smile and a wag of my tail,
"No!" She gabbled, "I cant..."
"Why ever not?" I tilted my head at her,
"I don't want to" she hunched up small and scowled. She was like a big baby when she was mad, I found it pretty cute.
"No one will hurt you, you're safe with me" I said and gave her a friendly nudge on the shoulder, she looked at me with her big blue eyes
"Promise?"
"Promise" I said, "Come on!"

Together we rushed off through the forest and towards Berk, it's changed completely since Stoick has been gone and Hiccup turned Chief. It was bigger and better for us Dragons. When we got to the village I walked around the houses so nobody saw us, I scratched the door lightly.
"What if he doesn't like me?" she whispered nervously and hid behind me slightly, peering at the door nervously,
"He'll love you" I smiled.

The door opened then and Hiccup was standing there, staring in complete and utter shock.
"Oh my gods..." he gasped and stared at the female. She stared back silently.
"Y-You aren't the only one bud!" Hiccup squeaked with happiness and slowly made his way over to her. She backed up slightly growling with her beautiful eyes narrowed.
"It's alright" whispered Hiccup, But she jumped up and flew off into the distance. "Oh, Sorry.."
I glared at him coldly then looked up to where she flew off. I whined but decided not to bug her anymore.

In the house I sat by Hiccup's feet purring quietly with my eyes shut, the warm fire was burning besides me so I was nice and warm and cosy.
"I'm guessing she's a Lightfury?" said Astrid. She immediately came over when Hiccup told her the news so they could discuss it together.
"You can finally save the species now bud!" Hiccup stroked one of my ears gently. I was happy but I frowned, it was much to soon to be discussing that now, only time could tell what will happen between us.
They talked and talked for ages together, talking about her. I got bored after a while so I fell into a little blissful sleep. I dreamt of her that night, that we were walking together in a field full of little flowers, we talked to each other about our families, I didn't remember anything about mine and neither did she so we kept quiet, then out of no where she said,
"I really like you"
"I like you too"
