Chapter 7

Toothless P.O.V

I didn't know where I was. I was in pitch darkness, like standing in a pure black room, I was looking around but I couldn't see anything.
"Hiccup?" I cooed, looking around still, but the more I turned the more my vision got clearer. Over in the corner was a two Nightfuries laying on the floor, then in the other corner were three Nightfury cubs play fighting,
"Stop being so rough on your sisters Epsilon" hissed one of the Nightfuries in the corner, I watched carefully at the cubs playing,
"Daddy Epsilon hurt Void!" One of the cubs cried, rushing over and huddling into his chest and watching them play fighting, at first I thought Void was a Male due to their muscular body shape but as I looked closer I could see her feminine features on her face,
"Oh please" she grinned, pinning Epsilon down by his head, "He can never beat me"
"I have to go easy on you because you're a girl" he growled up at her, squirming from her reach and crawling to the Nightfuries and settling down next to his mother,
"Taska be careful" said the mother gently, when she leaned over from under her father to peer at something curled up against her chest, cupped in her paws.
"I will mommy...he's so small isn't he?" She said, wagging her tail gently,
"He's puny" said the father, snorting a little then looking over to Epsilon, "why isn't he like him huh?"
"You know the struggle it was with him hatching and me giving birth" the mother frowned, giving the little thing a long lick across its tiny head. Then it shuffled, whimpering, then moved it's head away from the mother's chest and looked at everybody, I could see it clearly now, the little cub had big green emerald eyes and dark black shiny scales.
"Isn't he cute?" The mother whispered happily down at him,
"He won't be useful to fight with will he?" Void said, tilting her head then sniffing down at him, Epsilon leaned down and gave his head a little lick,
"Hm.." he said then glanced up to his father,
"I think he's really cute" Taska said with a big smile.

I edged closer and closer, realising they couldn't see me, and I peered down to the baby cub, and he stared back.

Then I got a flash of images in my mind
