Lightfury P.O.V
I couldn't stand it, to see him suffer right besides me. He was weeping softly as he was curled to me, I tried whispering positive things but he whined more. He woke up at one point in the night and we talked very quietly for a while, then he drifted off to sleep again. I couldn't let him go to that fight, I had to do it. All me, because if he went out there he'll die. No, I won't let him. It's my turn.
When I saw the hunters return Toothless was still deeply asleep, I snarled protectively when they came to take him, my body in a defensive stance in front of him, my blue eyes slimmed, alerting them to take me instead,
"Oho she's back now is she?" One of them smirked, nudging the second hunter besides him, "well, a female can't stay away from their mates for long".
I growled, we weren't mates.
I was pulled out by my head, a chain around my neck as I was tugged towards the arena. Wild thoughts went around and around in my head, wondering what will happen to me, but I couldn't let these horrible thoughts slow me down. I was stopped by the door, my chain was off and the men rushed out and slammed the cage on me. Leaving me there to wait for the moment I'll fight for everything, for myself, for freedom, for him.
