Sean's pov
Jace is still struggling to do basic things but he refuses to leave school. I can't really blame him... He's only got a few months left.

"What if we home schooled you?" Mark suggested trying to get Jace to stay home

"No, Mark, it's only four months and then I'm done." Jace reminded him for probably the hundredth time

"That's four months for you to get sick." Mark sighed

"So? Mark I don't really care." Jace said rolling his eyes

"You don't care?!" Mark yelled

"No, I don't!" Jace yelled back quickly starting to get winded

"Jace, if you get sick it could kill you. You may not care about dieing but I do!" Mark yelled

"Ugh. I'm not gonna die Mark. Everybody gets sick. I'll be fine. Just fuck off." Jace said walking to his room

I sighed and walked over to Mark who was sitting on a kitchen chair with his head resting in his hands. The past month has been really stressful for Mark, he's scared he's gonna lose Jace.

"He doesn't understand Sean." Mark said wiping a tear

"He'll never understand Mark. He's a 17 year old with cancer. He just wants his life back." I reminded him

"I remember the song he sang for his mum when she passed away." Mark said with a smile

(Flash back)

"We are here today, in memory of Katie Pierce. Before she passed she told me that she would like her son to sing her a special song before we burry her. Jace." He motioned

"Uh, thanks. I'll be singing Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran. Mum always loved that song." Jace smiled

"I took the Supermarket Flowers from the windowsill,
Threw the day old tea from the cup
Packed up the photo album Mathew had made
Memories of a life that's been loved.

Took the get well soon cards and stuffed animals,
Poured the old ginger beer down the sink,
Dad always told me 'Don't you cry when you're down'
But mum there's a tear every time that I blink." I watched him take a deep breath before continuing.

"Oh I'm in peices it's tearing me up but I know
A heart that's brok is a heart that's been loved

So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angle in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back he'll sing Hallelujah you're home.

Fluffed the pillows, made the beds, stacked the chairs up
Filled your night gowns neatly in a case
John said he'd drive then put his hand on my cheek and wiped a tear from the side of my face.

Now I hope I see the world as you did cause I know
A life that's loved is a life that's been lived

So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angle in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back he'll sing Hallelujah you're home

Hallelujah, you were an angle in the shape of my mum
You got to see the person I have become
Spread your wings as you go when God took you back he said hallelujah you're home." Jace finished wiping a tear from his cheek

Then Jace pulled a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from his pocket, placing them on his mother's casket.

(Flash back over)

"He was so amazing." Mark sighed

"He made everyone cry." I laughed

"That was before the cancer hit. Before everything started." Forest sighed

I turned around to look at Forest and sighed. The poor man couldn't catch a brake. Our little 12 year old Eilyn had a girl home today too. It was her crush, Kylie. Kylie was a beautiful girl with bright green eyes, dark red hair, and tanned skin. They were back in Eilyn's room so I decided to go check on them. I opened the door just a crack and saw the two making out. I softly shook my head and closed the door, walking away again. Liam was very excited to start school this year as well, he couldn't wait. The next thing I knew I heard Jace yelling, but not at Mark for once.

"I'm a fucking time bomb Forest! I am going to die, nobody lives like this!" He yelled

I walked around the corner to Jace and Forest's room and slowly entered.

"What?! What the fuck could you possibly want pa?!" He asked

"Jace... I think it's time we tried that support group." I sighed

He seemed to calm down quickly by me words.

"Yeah... That's in an hour, isn't it?" He asked

"Yeah. You should get dressed. We can give it a shot." I smiled

"Okay." I saw him give Forest a sad smile as he got dressed

I explained to Mark that Jace was finally willing to give support group a shot and Mark agreed. Soon Jace and I were on our way to this old church which he swore he would enter and immediately burn to death. It was honestly a little funny.
