"You think you're right, but you were wrong. You tried to take me, but I knew all along. You can take me for a ride. I'm not a fool out, so you better run and hide. I'm trouble, yeah, trouble now. I'm trouble ya'll, I got trouble in my town"

The next day, Lola was sitting in the lounge with Fangs and Sweet Pea. None of them were wearing their Serpent jackets, but they didn't mind. They may have shed their skin, but it would always grow back.

Everyone was having their own separate conversations, taking quietly. The Serpents were ignoring the Bulldogs and the Bulldogs were ignoring the Serpents.

However, something in the doorway caught Lola's attentions. She raised her head in the direction of the door and her mouth opened slightly in shock.

Standing there, in a Serpent jacket, was none other than Jughead Jones. Lola tensed up at the sight,knowing this was not going to go well at all. Apparently they hadn't gotten through to him.

"Oh, hey guys. What's up?"  Jughead said, mocking happiness. Lola leaped up from her seat, rushing towards Jughead.

"Jug, are you crazy?" she whisper-yelled, trying to get him to realise his mistake before a fight broke out. However, she was unsuccessful. Jughead had already received the attention of the Bulldogs, specifically Reggie Mantle.

"Take it off" Reggie growled, getting up and walking towards Jughead. As if on cue, the Serpents stood up, surrounding Jughead in a protective manner and the Bulldogs did the same with Reggie. Lola awkwardly stood to the side, not wanting to play a part in this fight.

"Take off that jacket, rat boy" Reggie said once more, his voice low and menacing. "Oh Reggie, I don't think you know what thus jacket means. Because you have no sense of honour, or history, or loyalty" Jughead taunted, stepping closer to the Bulldog with each word.

This was the snapping point for Reggie. His face darkened and he grabbed onto Jughead by the collar of his jacket. "That's it" he spat, initiating the fight. Everyone pounced for each other, throwing punches and kicks left, right and centre.

Lola didn't know what to do. She stood to the side, shell shocked. She wanted to stop it but there was no way one girl could stop an entire football team and a gang of Serpents from fighting.

As if on cue, Veronica Lodge strutted in, followed by Principal Weatherbee. Clearly she had seen the fight and ran to get help. Before long, everyone was pulled apart and dragged to Weatherbee's office. Even Lola was brought along, despite the fact that she hasn't been involved.

"You all have a weeks detention for fighting" Weatherbee said, looking at the group of teenagers. A chorus of groans was heard and Lola cursed inwardly, annoyed that she had gotten into trouble by doing nothing.

"But I made myself clear to you, Mr. Jones. Take off that jacket right now or you're suspended" Weatherbee continued, averting his gaze to Jughead. Lola was scared of what Jughead would do; She couldn't let him get suspended over something so stupid.

"Come on Jug, just-" Lola began, placing a hand on Jughead's shoulder. "Then I guess I'm suspended" Jughead blurted, effectively cutting off Lola and brushing her hand from his shoulder. Lola groaned as Jughead turned on his heel and walked out.

The rest of the school day had been rather uneventful compared to what had occurred that morning. No one's seemed to speak about what had happened and the Bulldogs and Serpents avoided eachother like the plague.

Lola couldn't stand it; she hated how everyone pretended nothing happened, and it felt weird not having Jughead beside her rambling about something or other.

Now, it was after school and Lola was at one of her regular shifts at Pop's. She had been distracted for most of her shift, thinking about that morning.

Jughead was taking all of this too far, but she understood why. He might even take Seprnet Law more seriously than Lola, so this seemed like a sin to him.

Lola was snapped out of her thoughts by the bell above the door chiming. She looked up, dragging her gaze away from the spot on the counter she kept staring at. "Hey Carter" a familiar voice said, walking towards her while smirking.

Lola rolled her eyes and sighed at the boy. "Reggie" she said, clearly bored and uninterested. Reggie's eyebrows knitted together in confusion, not understanding why the girl was suddenly being so cold to him.

"Here I was thinking we were friends now" he mumbled, taking a seat at one of the stools in front of the counter. "And here I was thinking you weren't going to do anything stupid again. Guess we were both wrong" Lola retorted, smiling at him sarcastically.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Lola. What I do about the Serpents has nothing to do with you" Reggie sighed. He leaned his elbows on the counter and put his head I  his hands out of frustration. Lola glared at the boy.

"Look, i don't care what you want to believe, but the Serpents are my family. If you hurt them, then you hurt me" Lola explained, showing no signs of forgiveness towards the boy. She was about to walk away but Reggie leaned over the counter, grabbing her wrist in order to stop her.

"In my defence, I was provoked today" he smirked. Lola rolled her eyes dramatically and tried to walk away once more. "Wait. I'm sorry, okay?" Reggie blurted out. Hearing him say this, Lola stopped and turned to face him, deciding to let him have a chance to explain himself.

"How about, if I promise not to do anything to specifically hurt the Serpents without provocation, you will forgive me and we can be friends again" Reggie offered. Lola looked at him, noting her lip slightly as she thought about what he said. He offered her a lopsided grin and Lola immediately caved.

"Fine" she breathed out,turning around to get him a milkshake. "Oh thank God. I thought I was gonna have to beg" Reggie sighed. Lola giggled at this as she placed the chocolate milkshake in front of him on the counter.

"Huh, I should've made you do that then" Lola answered, smirking at the boy. Reggie shook his head while smiling at her. The two speant the rest of Lola's shift talking and laughing at each other's terrible jokes. However, Lola never noticed a certain tall Serpent Boy glaring daggers at the two from the door before walking out.
