"War Baby called my dad from prison" Jughead began, initiating the Swords and Serpents meeting. While Lola tried her best to remain focused, she kept sneaking glances towards Fangs, having a silent conversation about what had happened a few days earlier.

"Our old adversaries, the Ghoulies, have been released. Word on the street is they want Serpent blood. They're gunning for a rematch. They want war" Jughead continued, pacing slightly at the top of the classroom.

The mention of the Ghoulies caused Lola's stomach to churn as the memory of Malachai from the drag race resurfaced. She subconsciously gripped Sweet Pea's hand a little tighter, to which he quickly gave her a kiss on the top of her head in an effort to calm her down.

Before anyone had a chance to respond to this revelation, the classroom door swung open and in walked Reggie Mantle, followed by Archie and the other Bulldogs.

"Which one of you reptiles was screwing Midge Klump?" Reggie hissed, glaring daggers around the room. Lola's stomach instantly dropped to the floor out of sheer terror. They had found out. If they knew who it was,Fangs would be a dead man. Lola gulped and risked a sideways glance at Fangs to see his face set in stone, not revealing anything.

"What the hell is going on? This is a private meeting" Jughead stated while approaching the wall of Bulldogs. The poor guy was clearly oblivious to the situation at hand. Lola glared at Fangs slightly, realising he hadn't said anything to Jughead yet.

"I'm guessing it was you, Sweet Pea" Reggie spat, approaching the tall Serpent. Lola rolled her eyes instantly at this. She knew Reggie never liked Sweet Pea and that he hated the idea of her being with him, but this was a step too far.

"You really think I'd choose some Northside chick over my girl?" Sweet Pea scoffed, instinctively wrapping an arm proactively around Lola's waist. Despite how nervous this encounter made her, Lola couldn't help but smile hearing Sweet Pea call her his girl.

"Reggie, that's enough" Archie said firmly, trying to get the boy to back down. He shot Lola an apologetic look, knowing Reggie had crossed a line.

"I didn't know Midge. But yeah, I get why she wouldn't want fleas from one of you mangy Bulldogs" Sweet Pea taunted, taking a step towards Reggie. Lola groaned in frustration, knowing this would not end well for anyone. As a fight broke out, Lola couldn't help but fear for Fangs if the Bulldogs ever found out.

Lola was walking through the halls with Jughead. The past few days, She had been overly tense and constantly looking over her shoulder. Her only hope now was that the rumours of Midge sleeping with a Serpent would die down soon enough, leaving Fangs in the clear.

However, this being Riverdale, that was not likely to happen. "Jug, Lola. Did you see it?" Toni frantically asked as she quickly approached the pair in the hall. Lola and Jughead exchanged confused glances, not knowing what the girl was referring to.

"See what?" Jughead questioned. "Fangs was dating Midge and forgot to tell Sheriff Keller. But I guess you knew that Lola" Toni rushed, showing them as video. As Lola watched, she could clearly see Fangs, Midge and herself together in the dressing room before Midge was murdered. Panic began to build up in her chest, knowing that people would assume the worst.
