"harry, i'm nervous. what if they hate me?" i mumbled into my phone. my mom and i were driving to meet with columbia records, and i was terrified, to say the least. "baby, they already love you, remember? you'll do fine. now, i have to go. i'll talk to you later." he hung up.
what the hell? that was weird. harry never acted like that. he'd just hung up on me. i tried not to think about it, but my mind kept going back to it. why was he acting like that? was something wrong? i decided to text him and ask. - - - kaia: hey, is everything okay? you sounded weird on the phone x harry: i'm fine. kaia: are you sure? you know you can talk to me h harry: kaia, i told you i'm fine. now i have to go kaia: uh ok... - - - what was his problem? he didn't have to be an asshole, jesus. whatever. if he won't tell me what's wrong, it's not my problem. i needed to focus on my meeting, not on harry and his bullshit.
"everything okay, sweetheart?" my mom asked me. "i don't really know. harry just hung up on me and he's acting really weird, but he says he's fine." i told her. she looked like she was thinking for a moment. "huh. i don't know. maybe just give him some space and he'll talk to you about it when he's ready." she told me as we pulled into he parking lot and i took a few deep breaths before heading inside.
there were a couple paparazzi but we quickly walked through them and into the building. "hello ma'am, may i ask your names?" the man at the front desk asked me. "kris and kaia jenner." my mom responded, smiling at him. i was still nervous as all hell.
"oh, kaia! go ahead and have a seat. ms. gardner should be coming out any moment." he smiled and we did as he told us. my phone dinged twice and i checked it, hoping it would be harry apologizing or something, but it wasn't. - - - azalea: good luck at your meeting! lex and i are sending you our love! kaia: thank you guys! love you both! - - - jaz: you got this, kai! kick ass and get hat record deal! kaia: lol, will do! thanks jaz - - - "kaia and kris?" a woman's voice called and i looked up to see a tall woman, with long, straight blonde hair. she was wearing a pencil skirt and a blazer, so she looked very professional. i was in a dress, cause i wanted to look nice too.
"hi." i stood up from my chair. "i'm dana gardner. we spoke on the phone?" she reminded me. i nodded. "nice to meet you, in person." i added and she laughed. she introduced herself to kris and vice versa. "come on back, let's get started."
we walked back to an office that had several more businessy-looking people in it. we talked about my music and i played them more of it, and sang for them. at the end of the meeting, i was officially signed to columbia records. i was so excited.
after that, we left and kris drove me home. i was so excited, i couldn't wait to tell somebody. my initial reaction was to tell harry, but since he was being a jerk, i decided that i would just tell kendall. i ran quickly into kendall and i's house, excited to tell her.
"kenny! kenny! kendall nicole jenner!" i screeched as i ran to the living room. her and louis were sitting on the couch, watching tv and eating takeout. "jesus, what?" she laughed. "columbia records signed me. i have a record deal." i squealed.
"oh my god, kj, that's incredible!" she jumped up off the couch and squeezed me. "i'm so proud of you, kaia!" she cheered. louis hugged me after her, "congratulations, little sister." he smiled proudly. "welcome to the columbia family. did you tell harry yet?" he asked me.
"um, no. he's being weird right now. he's kind of not talking to me and i have no idea why." i shrugged it off. they both looked confused. "that's weird. did something happen?" kendall asked me. "not that i'm aware of."' i sighed. "whatever. don't let him ruin your day, you did it! my little sisters gonna be a big rockstar!" she cheered and i laughed. - - -
