"taylor? hi." i didn't know what to say. last time we spoke, did not end well, and i didn't know how to talk to her, she wasn't a friend, but she wasn't an enemy either. i was confused.

"can we talk? please?" she pleaded and i nodded. "cara, when harry comes back, can you-" i started to ask her but she cut me off, "i got it." she smiled at me before giving taylor a glare. "thank you, cara." i smiled before walking away with taylor.

"look, kaia. i want us to be cool again. i miss you. can we please be friends?" taylor spike as soon as we stepped outside. "taylor, you rubbed the justin thing in my face, called me a slut, and left me crying on the ground. is that really all that you're gonna say?"

"you're right, kai. i fucked up. i was so mad in the moment and i didn't think about what i was saying or doing. i was so wrong and i am so sorry. if you're gonna date harry, then go ahead and date harry. that's not my decision to make and i shouldn't have gotten mad at you for it. i really am so sorry, kaia. i would really not like to bring this fight into the new year, so can you please forgive me and we can move on have a fresh start?"

"okay. yeah, let's move on." i agreed and taylor attacked me in a hug. "thank you so much. oh, thank god. i was losing my mind without my best friend." i hugged her back. "i missed you too." i told her.

i heard someone clear their throat. "hey, baby." i greeted harry after turning around. "taylor." he acknowledged. he didn't seem surprised to see her, but he was acting kind of weird. "hi, harry. i was just apologizing to kaia." she told him and he lightened up a little. "oh, okay good. i'm glad. are you two friends again or...?" he trailed off.

"yes, h. we're all good now." i told him and he let out a breath of air. "oh thank god. i love you, kai, but i couldn't handle more talking about how much you missed taylor." he admitted and i swatted his arm, "oh, whatever."

taylor excused herself. "why weren't you surprised to see her?" i asked out of curiosity. "i may or may not have known she would be here to talk to you." he admitted. "harry! what do you mean?" i asked, now even more confused than before.

"i've been in contact with her about this. she texted me and told me what happened and that she didn't know what to do so i told her to apologize and that i'd help her find the right time or whatever. i'm sorry, i know it's not good to keep secrets from each other, but i couldn't stand to let something like this ruin your friendship, and especially not when that something is me."

"thank you, harry." i wrapped myself around him. "well, you're welcome baby. so you're not mad at me? like at all?" he asked and i laughed. "no, honey. you're so sweet for getting my best friend and i back together. i love you." i smiled and pecked his lips. "mm-i love you too." he mumbled against my lips before connecting them to his, again.

"alright everybody, are you ready to start the new year?" the dj yelled. the crowd yelled back a mix of responses that i couldn't make out. "we have five more minutes until the start of the new year, i said are you guys ready?!" he asked again. "yeah!" the crowd cheered.

"alright here we go, for the last song of the new year we've gotten a request, from a very special person in the crowd, mr. harry styles!" the dj announced and the crowd cheered as i looked to harry confused. "why do you think it took so long to get your drink, babe?" he proudly smiled.

"and he wanted me to make sure that i informed you all, this is not for him. he doesn't want people to think he's a narcissist that listens to his own music, but this is for his girlfriend, ms. kaia jenner!" the crowd cheered again as the song began to play.

"aw, harry." i smiled. "i cant believe you had them play your music, at the very end of the year, just for me. and this is such a good song, too." i gushed. he smiled at me as the lyrics started.
