"good morning, kj." kendall says sweetly, sitting down on the edge of my bed. i groan in response, not even moving. it's been about a week since the accident, but my whole body still hurts when i move. "i know you don't want to get up but i need to talk to you." she tells me, sounding guilty. "what is it, ken?" i ask, sitting up. "they know." she says. "who knows what?" i ask, not understanding what she's talking about. "everyone knows about the justin thing. someone told the media."

that fully wakes me up. "how? who would've told?" i ask, trying to think of who may have told the media. "i don't know. the magazine said one of your friends told them. who did you tell?" she asks me and i try to remember who i told. "i only told the family, harry, myra, and halle."

"well, we know harry didn't do it. you can ask the family, but i don't think any of them would do that to you. maybe ask myra and halle?" she suggests and i nod, picking up my phone and texting them both, ignoring the MANY notifications on my phone.

"they both said it wasn't them." i tell kendall as i sigh. she thinks for a second. "then i guess you could text mom and everyone, but they'll probably get mad if they think you're accusing them." she advises and i agree. "i don't know what to do." i put my head in my hands.

"regardless of who did it, i'm going to have to address it now. what do i do, kenny?" i ask, needing advice from my big sister. "i think you should be honest. i know it's a hard subject, but i think you should speak out about it and be a voice for the women that need one, you know?" she tells me and i nod.

"definitely. that's what i was planning on doing but i just didn't know it'd be this soon. i thought i'd have a little more time to come to terms with this before having to go public with it." i sigh, exasperated. kendall crawls under the covers with me. "you don't have to do it now, take your time." i nod in agreement. i think about how to address it and what i'll say, while kendall pulls out her phone, calling someone.

"who are you calling?" i ask her, confused. she pulls the phone away from her ear. "mom doesn't want you home alone, in case justin comes here. so i have to make sure someone's here with you before i leave for new york." she says before speaking to the person on the other end of the phone. "hey!... yeah she's here. that's actually what i was calling you about... yeah, i know... i tried, but i think she needs you... well, i don't know what you say to her, but you always calm her down and i can't... she's stressing about it, and i have to leave but she can't be home alone... okay, thank you!... i have to go to new york for an event... yeah... okay, yeah we'll see you soon... bye."

"who was that?" i ask her again, hoping to get a real answer this time. "your boyfriend." she winks. i roll my eyes and bury my face in my pillow, not wanting to deal with my current situation. "okay, kai, i love you but i have to go." she tells me as i feel her standing up from the bed. i groan in annoyance. "i know, but harrys coming and he will make it all better." she winks at me again and i chuck my pillow at her, making her laugh. she hugs me and kisses my head, "i'll see you in a few days, bye kj. love you!" she tells me as she walks out of my room.
