it was time to perform and i was losing my shit. jaz and i we're walking to the stage as she held my hand tightly. she wasn't as nervous as i was, but she was a pregnant woman who was doing her first performance since almost being beaten to death by her psycho stalker ex-boyfriend, so you know, of course she wasn't.

we walked to the stage and got to our places while no one could see us. it was set up very classical, just two microphones on their stands and jaz and i were in long, classy dresses. i wanted a big difference between the first and second part of my performance.

then the lights came up. everybody went crazy at the sight of jaz and i. it made me smile that they were happy to see me. the music started to "just a little bit of your heart", jaz and i's song. she started singing the first part.

i found harry in the crowd and felt the tears begin to fill my eyes as i sang. i tried to remind myself i had dylan, but i just kept thinking about harry. i mean, i was pregnant with his child.

i was straight up crying by then. jaz had glassy eyes too, from seeing me cry. i knew this was going to be everywhere by tomorrow, but i couldn't help it.

then came time for the transition. the music started for "god is a woman" and all the dancers came out. the crowd lost it. the dancers came in front of jaz and i so that we weren't visible. jaz used this time to exit the stage and i used it to fix myself from my crying and to change into my other outfit. then i came through the middle of the crowd of dancers and began to sing

i walked around throughout the song, dancing with the background dancers a little bit but not too much, it wouldn't be good for the baby. when the song ended, i was crying again. i was so happy to be up on stage again and perform for people. the crowd was so loud i couldn't hear myself breathing but i knew i was breathing heavy. i blew kisses to the audience and said "i love you". then i walked off stage.

jaz was back there waiting for me and she was crying too. "that was amazing, i'm so proud of you, kaia." she hugged me tightly. i thanked her and we walked to the dressing rooms to get changed.
