==================================

Jeremy looked at his phone sadly.

The concert was successful as always.

It was their last night in Sydney for awhile. They would be flying to New York at dawn time and probably stay there for a month before the Asian Tour again.

He looked at the screen of his phone and almost jumped in excitement when he saw his caller.

Althea was calling him at hindi siya agad makahuma dahil sa kaligayahang biglang bumalot sa puso niya. The woman was not even answering his texting messages na pinanghihinaan na siya ng loob madalas. But now she was calling her. He hoped that it was for good. "This is expensive, I'll call you."

"Well hello to you, too," she said playfully.

He chuckled. "Please."

"Fine," she cancelled the call.

Tinawagan niya ito.

"Hello," she answered sweetly.

He laughed. "How are you, sweetgirl?"

"I am fine, and you? Busy ba lagi? Where exactly are you right now?"

"I'm in Sydney. Palipad kami to New York in six hours."

"Mahaba-habang biyahe iyan. Would you even have time to think of me?"

"I'm always thinking of you Althea. Tell me why you are not even answering my text messages."

She sighed. "Those are biblical verses. Wala akong alam sa Bible. I am not reading it. I don't have time."

Natahimik siya. He had been praying to God to draw Althea closer to Him. Because then she would find time to pray and read the Bible. "You are a good woman. You'll be thirsty for it one day." He just hoped that it wouldn't be too late.

Hindi ito sumagot.

"Were you able to ask for five days off next month?" agad niyang tinanong. He might not have a chance to ask again. With Althea, things were unpredictable.

"Uhmn, hindi pa, eh. Will you give me the exact date? Hahanapan ako ng information, eh."

Napangiti siya. "Sure. Iti-text ko sa'yo mamaya. Or I'll ask Cameron to text you. Hawak niya kasi ang full schedule."

"I'll wait for that."

They were silent for awhile before he asked. "About the guy that you were telling me before?" hindi niya maiwasang itanong.

"Paano ko sasagutin iyon, Jeh, kung minu-minuto ikaw ang laman ng isip ko?"

Napapikit siya nang marinig iyon. He was actually teary eyed. Coming from Althea, he knew that she was speaking the truth and from her heart. It only meant that the woman had feelings for him. He swallowed because he didn't know if he would be able to speak well.
