"Dapat masaya ka kung pinayagan ka na na mag-leave ng five days next month. Bakit parang hindi naman happy ang mukha mo?" Sophia said while they were eating halo-halo at the restaurant on the ground level of their office building.

Naikuwento niya na rito si Jeremy at si Becca naman ngayon ang naka-leave dahil nagpunta sa kapatid nito sa Brunei. Sophia was a lot more sophisticated and tame than Becca. Karkulado ang bawat galaw nito and she was a fully pledge Christian.

Mahilig talaga itong manood ng mga Christian concerts at paborito nito si Jeremy. Minsan kapag may small group fellowship ang mga kaibigan nito na singles ay sinasama siya to jam with them. They would sing Christian songs with the band in the group. Noon siya napangkinggan ni Becca dahil isinama nila ito minsan. Kaya alam ni Becca na marunong siya kumanta at ang lakas ng loob nitong itulak siya sa stage. "Hindi ako sigurado. I don't know how to be with righteous people."

"Ano ba'ng sinasabi mo?" kunot noong tanong nito.

"Kasama niya iyong buong family niya sa Thailand pagpunta ko doon."

"Eh, ano naman ngayon. I'm sure may sariling kuwarto si Jeremy. Hindi ka man sipingan nun dahil hindi ganyan ang mga totoong Christian, gagawa iyon ng paraan para makasama ka niya at mapagsolo kayo. Hindi mo naman kailangan laging kaharap ang buong pamilya niya."

Nanlaki ang mga mata niya. "Ang gross mo naman. Sipingan talaga?"

"Eh, ano'ng gusto mo? Sex?"

Sumimangot siya.

"My point is, you would be there for Jeremy. Siya lang ang pakikisamahan mo. Besides, real Christians are not judgemental. Wala iyan sa utak namin. We accept people as they are and we love our neighbors as we love ourselves, Christians or not."

"I felt like a sinner destined to hell being weighed by the righteous one."

Pinalo nito ang mesa na ikinagulat niya. "Gumising ka nga! We are Christians and we are not perfect. Makasalanan din kami tulad ng lahat ng tao sa mundo. We just have more conviction because we know the scripture. We have the Holy Spirit and we didn't want to quence or grieve it."

Hindi niya na naman ito maintindihan. "Wala ba akong Holy Spirit?"

Napapikit si Sophia. "Friend, mahal kita, alam mo ba iyon?"

That was the very first time that Sophia said that to her, so ibig sabihin ay seryoso ito.

"Pero hindi ko saulo ang scripture. What I know is that the moment a person received Christ as her personal savior, the Holy Spirit will come down on her and will guide her to righteousness in every step of the way."

She was so unsure of what she was hearing.

"Hindi mahirap ang buhay Kristiano, Althea. Ito ay imposible. But with God's grace and mercy. Napakadaling gawin if the Holy Spirit is with you. Magtataka ka sa napakalaking pagbabago na hindi mo naman sinasadya. That's when you know that you have Christ with you."
